PLEASE IGNORE the statement on the booking page about guests only allowed from Cork. The Byre at O’Brien’s Cottage nestles in the hills of West Cork 13km from Bantry. This traditional stone building provides ground floor studio accommodation. There is a king-size bed and a double sofa-bed which can accommodate an extra 2 guests if you don't mind a bit of a squash!

Charming Cabin at the Foot of Douce Mountain

Douce Mountain cabin is a charming self contained little house situated at the foot of Douce Mountain. There is a living space with a stove and a kitchenette on the groundfloor . A ladder leads the loft with 2 beds. It is a very quiet place surrounded y nature. Our other guesthouse is about 100 metres further down . Our own farmhouse is about 500 metres away. It is ideal for someone looking for a very quiet place to relax and immerse themselves in nature.

The house is open plan downstairs consisting of a kitchen, sitting area and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is bedroom and a small bathroom. The space is very bright and airy. There is a back yard and garden to sit out in after a day trekking around. There is a good internet service within the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to self cater. It is really convenient to the main street, sea walk and public transport services.
