Our unique and beautiful 100-year old home is in the Boylan Heights historic district. It is an easy walk to downtown Raleigh, public transportation and the N. C. State University campus. We are only 5 blocks from the Amtrak train station. There are many great restaurants in the nearby Glenwood South entertainment area. The room has recently been painted and redecorated. The double futon is very comfortable. Wifi is available. The bathroom is shared. Our home has a wonderful inviting atmosphere and we enjoy sharing it with people. We provide food for a self-serve breakfast and coffee/tea is always available.

  • I had a great stay in this beautiful house. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood, but easy walking distance from downtown. Ginny and Tom are very friendly and welcoming hosts. I would stay with them again any time.

  • Beautiful home, lovely people, roomy space. It was very comfortable and easy to stay there. Convenient location. Thanks so much!

  • Ginny and Tom were lovely hosts, warm and welcoming and very helpful. I'm glad I stayed with them and would definitely love to stay there again!

  • Tom and Ginny are very peaceful, lovely people, and the house has the same quiet energy. A lovely home, comfortable. If you don't mind making your own breakfast (they'll brew a pot of coffee for you), it is a great place to stay! If I was going to the area on business, traveling alone, as I was on this first visit, I would consider staying here again, absolutely! With a significant other, I would not want to share the bathroom with the owners and miss having a gourmet breakfast cooked for us. The rates are very reasonable, and if this is a main consideration, its the best deal in town. The bathroom and kitchen are newly remodeled, and very clean .

  • Second but not last time for me at this grand Victorian home. Gracious hosts, great location, comfortable room... what else is there? Oh, fantastic Christmas cookies and lively conversation and plenty of hot coffee!

  • I had a wonderful stay with Ginny & Tom. Their house is amazing, and located convenient to both downtown and Glenwood south. The wonderful Boylan Bridge Brewpub is even closer. The room I stayed in was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Ginny & Tom were generous hosts, always had coffee ready in the mornings, and even lent me an umbrella when it started raining.

  • I can't say enough about my stay with Ginny and Tom. The house is in a beautiful district with amazing landscape, trees, and wonderful architecture. I took morning jogs through the pristine neighborhood during my stay which got each day off to a great start. Downtown Raleigh is only a few blocks away. Also, the Boylan Bridge Restaurant is even closer. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Free wireless internet (fast, not slow like hotel internet) and extensive cable channels are available. Tom and Ginny are happy to help with anything else you may need. I enjoyed having fresh fruit, cereal, and fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast! They are great people. Thank you for the stay!

  • Very comfortable and convenient. With Ginny and Tom you feel like guests, not customers.

  • this is a wonderful place - a truly gorgeous house in a tree-lined, flower-filled historic neighborhood. The room is quite nice, comfy bed that I wouldn't even have identified as a pull-out, and expansive, very clean bathroom and stocked kitchen. Great location, at least for my needs: nearby (long walk or short bus ride) to NCSU, also close to downtown and fun restaurants, things to see, and Amtrak. Thanks to Tom and Ginny for a lovely stay - will definitely look you up again if my travels bring me back to Raleigh.
