Spacious House Near the Beach

  Wow. What an adventure we experienced while staying here, and Richard (Annie's father, whom hosts when she is traveling) went way above and beyond in supporting us during our happenings. First off, the house is incredibly spacious, and the internet connection was very strong. The beds in both bedrooms are comfortable, and there is a lovely enclosed porch in the back that I don't think was mentioned on the ad, and though we didn't use it much, I can see it being delightful as the buggy months occur. We had need to knock on the neighbor's doors after 11 pm one night, as while out and about, our passports, ID, cash, phones, everything, was taken. . . and we wanted to know if any of the neighbors had Richard's phone number. Fortunately, Jane next door was a delight and allowed us into her home to use her phone and try and set things on the right path. All of this happened on a Friday night. Early Saturday morning, we were to join a cruise in Ft. Lauderdale, and Richard did everything in his power to help us make it happen: he rushed us around the town to customs, cruise line, western union, all of those things. This was certainly not in his hosting description! He also loaned us his cell phone for our chaos period. The shower is ridiculously large in one of the bathrooms, with a great seating area for leg-shaving, the elderly, you name it. There are high counters in the large bathroom (which as a 6 ft. tall woman I appreciate!) and every single thing that we thought "hmm... I wonder if there is...." Well, there was! Except for a safety pin, but that is of no concern in the overall picture. The house is deceptively small when parked in front, but would have plenty of room for a family to spread out. The kitchen is a bit dated, but fully functional with microwave, toaster, etc. I cannot emphasize enough how accommodating and situationally helpful Richard was during this stressful time. It was a quiet house, and we'd love to return to visit this caring man and his beautiful bird, Waddles. (Don't worry, if you don't like birds, he won't bring it around....) Very close to so many different greater Miami/Ft. Lauderdale areas, with a 2 min drive to Hwy 95, which links you to everywhere. Again, thanks to Annie for sharing her home, and her father Richard for being so amazing!

  We had a wonderful stay in this home. Every detail was taken care of, even shampoo and conditioner if needed. Besides the house being impeccably clean and roomy, there is a large Florida room (screened in room) where we enjoyed Florida's wonderful weather, along with a couple of friendly chameleons. A perfect spot for a cup of coffee in the morning.

  Отличной небольшой домик с 2-мя спальнями и 2-мя ваннами. Тихий, спокойный район в прекрасном городке Fort Lorendeil. До огромного пляжа 3-4 мили, до Miami 25 миль. Нам очень понравилось! An excellent small house with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Quiet, peaceful area in the beautiful town of Fort Lorendeil. Prior to the huge beach 3-4 miles to 25 miles of Miami. We loved it!

  So nice to have the house rather than a hotel room; more room, kitchen, BBQ, lovely patio, privacy from the kids, washer / dryer. A great price! Would definately choose to stay there again over a hotel any day! Thank you!

  Nous sommes arrivés plus tard que prévu et Richard était là a nous attendre tres chaleureusement. La maison est spacieuse, correctement confortable pour le prix payé. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour pour notre première visite dans cette région. Pas de télévision et pas d'internet peut être problématique vu l'isolement des points touristiques.

  We had a great time! The house was the perfect haven to come home to. It was clean and fully equipped. Before we arrived we thought we would mind the absence of a TV or WIFI, but the house has a wonderful porch at the front where we sat every night and morning to enjoy the streetview among the palmtrees and Florida's sunshine. Richard was the perfect host and did his best to make you feel at home. Thank you Richard (and Annie) We would love to come back!
