SECURITY: Valle Perdido is certainly one of the most secure places in Costa Rica. The only access to the valley is via the entry road, manned 24/7 by armed guards. Alarm system (with convenient remote controls for guests) directly connects to the guardhouse, so assistance is always only 2-3 minutes away. Large digital safe (full laptop size).

THE NEIGHBOURS: Guests have reported seeing a friendly troupe of White-Faced Monkeys regularly visiting the house, and close sightings of Toucans. Many other exotic birds are frequent, stunningly beautiful Butterflies abound, cute Gekos are everywhere, frogs, toads and iguanas – all the natural joys of living right in the middle of primary jungle and a wildlife corridor. Wildlife sightings depend on the seasons.
