London Penthouse North Greenwich

  John is a very pleasant host and so it was a pleasure for us to meet him. His appartement is very comfortable and offers a great view over London and very much room for the visitors. It is near to the O2 and the North Greenwich underground station. Some supermarkets are also nearby. John ist ein liebenswürdiger Gastgeber und es war uns eine Freude, ihn zu treffen. Sein Appartement ist sehr komfortabel und bietet eine großartige Aussicht über London und viel Platz für die Besucher. Es liegt nahe der O2-Arena und zur North Greenwich U-Bahn Station. Einige Supermärkte sind auch in der Nähe.

  I had a great time. John is a great and interesting character. His Penthouse is beautiful, clean, at a short walking distance from the North Greenwich station. I can only recommend staying at his penthouse.

  My partner and I stayed with John for several weeks and were incredibly pleased. John's flat is inviting, spacious, and peaceful. The rooms are just as they appear in the photographs -- cozy, very private and clean. Views of the Thames can be seen from the windows and the breakfast area is a wonderful place to relax. The wireless internet is reliably fast and the flat always felt safe and secure. John himself is a gem. He is a wonderful source of information on London and couldn't be a more accommodating and charming host. The location of the flat is also very convenient in regard to transportation. As mentioned in other reviews there are several buses that drop off at the North Greenwich tube station (Jubilee line) or it is a lovely, short walk to the station from the flat. We will continue to recommend John's flat to visitors and friends, and we are thrilled to have found such a lovely place to stay.

  Very beautiful, modern penthouse! If you have a reason to stay in Greenwich, it is within 10 minute walking of the Tube stop and very close to multiple bus lines, including a night one that arrives from Central London if you loose track of time and the Tube shuts down. The building is 10 minutes walk from the O2 (where the Tube station is) where there are many restaurants, a pub/restaurant that's even closer, and a cafe is right on the site. If you are planning to visit downtown Greenwich to see the Observatory or University or maritime museum, it's a half-hour walk if you like to hoof it. Or simply take one of many buses that come by. every 8 minutes. Just beware that North Greenwich is not central London. If you are thinking you can walk outside and you'll see Parliament and hundreds of pubs, you aren't in the right place! You DO see lots of the Thames and have a wonderful view, however. John was a good host, and we talked a few times. We bought food and the kitchen was open for us to use. As was the living/entertainment area. All in all, only positive things to say.

  John ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Wir fühlten uns in seiner Wohnung sehr wohl. Die Wohnung ist sauber und groß. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir hatten unser eigenes Badezimmer. Die Lage war auch gut. Es gibt einen großen Sainsbury Supermarkt nur 3 Busstationen entfernt (5 min.). An der O2 dort gibt es auch einen kleinen Tesco. Die Anbindung ans Zentrum von London war kein Problem. --- John is a very nice host. We felt very comfortable in his apartment. The apartment is clean and big. The bed was very comfortable and we had our own bathroom. The location was good too. There is a large Sainsbury supermarket just 3 bus stops away (5 min.). At the O2 there is also a small Tesco. The connection to the center of London was no problem.

  Staying with John was an absolute pleasure! Beyond the fact that his home is beautiful, very clean, and boasts extraordinary views of the Thames, John ensured that we felt at home the entire time we were there. The flat was exactly as portrayed in the photos...and more! It was extremely convenient to the North Greenwich tube station and John is not exaggerating when he says buses are available every two minutes! Overall, we could not have asked for a better stay for our first airbnb.com experience!

  The pictures of this listing really "smiled" at us invitingly, and getting here we were not dissapointed at all! ;-) Like the pictures the flat is beautiful and clean with stunning views over the city and Canary Wharf. Having dinner at the dining table we could watch the changing skies and sunsets of London! A rare sight! John is a trully friendly and accomadating host, ready to help where he can. As well we felt that he gave us space to really enjoy his place. A big thumb up to John and his flat!!
