This beautiful home has hard wood floors in the main living/ dining/ kitchen space and attractive carpet in the bedrooms. There's an upright piano for your playing pleasure and a large living area for movie watching/ relaxing. Plenty of natural light! It has a huge backyard with organic gardens. Also, there is a saltwater pool (in the warm months) and a shaded deck out back. You can smoke on the deck, but not inside. Central air and heat, gas stove, Washer/ dryer, Energy Star appliances, solar panels, wireless internet (no microwave, sorry). It is 2.5 miles from UT, 3 miles from downtown (there are bus stops to each nearby). The house is on the eclectic eastside, and lots of good folks live in the neighborhood. There is an indoor, exotic, hypoallergenic cat who lives here. You'll enjoy your stay here!

Andrea's place is warm and inviting. She and her significant other, Lance, are perfect hosts. They responded to me in such a welcoming way. Her place is easily accessible to I-35 and 183. Could get to South Austin in 15 minutes and the Arboretum in less time than that. It's a fabulous place and an outstanding value.

Andrea was totally understandable and respectful to a last minute cancel-then-re-book scenario. Cool place, not too far from downtown, with an amazing looking cat. Seriously. The cat's incredible.

I was visiting UT Austin as a prospective graduate school in the fall, and needed a place to crash and an easy bus ride to campus. Andrea was more than hospitable (especially considering my VERY late arrival)and gave great directions on how to get around town on public transit. Recommend highly. Thanks for a great trip!

Coming out from California for my first visit to Texas, I was a bit nervous-- but I can enthusiastically recommend staying with Andrea (and Chelsea-- you'll notice she's in, like, every other review-- because she's a force to be reckoned with). I got late-night conversations, food dialogues, tips on BBQ joints, insider suggestions on where to find great music, and soothed nerves. Thanks, Andrea! There's nothing like a hospitable, sharing 'n' caring Austinite to make you love Austin.

Courteous, friendly, and super convenient to downtown. I had to book a last minute trip to Austin and needed to be close to downtown but wanted to, as AirBnB suggests, travel like a human. The drive to downtown took no more than ten minutes and I enjoyed a comfy bed and a nice conversation with Andrea. (She is an expert cartographer, by the way.) I would fully recommend staying with Andrea and I plan on doing any time I am in Austin. What they say is true; Chelsea is a tremendous cat who offers great advice on any and every topic. Just ask and she will impart her infinite knowledge on you. :) Thanks, Andrea!

Andrea was just terrific (as was Chelsea the amazing cat). She gave us great recommendations for cafes, restaurants, local stores and neighborhoods to check out. My daughter was relocating to Austin and Andrea gave sage advice on some of the ings...way beyond the call of 'hosting duty'. We felt very comfortable staying with her.

My best friend and I stayed with Andrea for a record 5 days. She is an amazing host who was relaxed, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Her house is clean, quiet, and convenient to Austin. We recommend her to future travelers.

The stay was perfect. Andrea was very friendly and helpful in every possible way. Its a nice cozy place, close to everything. The previous review by Rajiv actually says it all!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!

We really enjoyed our stay with Andrea, Lance and Chelsea. :) We had a car, so the drive to downtown Austin was easy...a mere 10 minutes of easy driving. The house had a/c, so even in the warm weather, we were comfortable. Both Andrea and Lance were very enjoyable to be around, mellow and helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The bed we slept in, while a bit soft for the two of us, had the best sheets ever! There is only one bathroom, which might seem to be a problem, but actually, there wasn't one time where it was. I only mention it if you are adamant about having your own bathroom. All in all, I would look upon this house as a fine place to stay, with kind and helpful hosts who truly enhanced our experience in Austin. Thanks!

Andrea and Lance were fantastic hosts! The house was very clean and welcoming, the bed was extremely comfortable and I felt instantly at home. I arrived feeling overwhelmed by all the options of places to go but they gave me some excellent advice about where to start. I will absolutely stay there again on future visits.

Andrea is an amazing host! Despite my last-minute SXSW booking, she had a cozy, comfortable room waiting for me. She answered all of my Austin questions patiently and even suggested some cool places for me to check out. Her place is definitely a calm city retreat. Also, Chelsea is the most awesome cat you'll ever meet. Her greetings and good byes will make you happy! Stay here, relax, and enjoy Austin!
