convenient cheap room

Ssameer's place was great. I couldn't have asked for more during my stay. He provided exactly what he describes in his room description: an affordable, conveniently located, and clean room. He was a friendly host as well, sharing restaurant recommendations and other insights about NYC living. I would definitely stay at his place on any other future trips to New York. very clean space. Small but perfect for two tourists. Felt safe. Very easy to get around, close to subway station that gets you anywhere. Ssameer is a very cool guy, very helpful and kind. Highly recommended

The room just as described with clean sheets, blankets and towels. The subway number 1 train station is literally a 5 min walk away, super convenient, we also had full use of the kitchen. I would stay there again in a heartbeat :)

SSameer's appartment was easy to find being just off the 137th street College station. I would recommend getting a 1 week or more unlimited metro card to get about as the cost of travel could mount up getting in and out of Manhattan central. Ssameer wasn't there so his friend Miranda looked after me. She showed me the room and the appartment and then left me alone which is what I wanted. Had my own set of keys so I could come and go as I pleased. The room was small but that suited me as I ws there for the Marathon and didnt need much room. The room was set out with bunk beds so good for a couple of friends travelling but not for couples. I would happily use this again next time in New York as it is cheap, the neighbourhood is safe, the subway fast and safe and all in all a good experience At no point did I feel uncomfortable or unsecure

Ssameers gotta be one of the coolest guys I've ever met. Incredibly laidback and easy going. Ssameer is also very helpful with any queries you might have +The apt is extremely close to the subway so its super convenient to get to anywhere you wanna go. All the reviews are spot on. If you wanna stay in Manhattan and you're on a budget, THIS is the place to stay!

My stay was without any problem, really cheap and convenient as the title says. And Ssameer is a cool guy too.

From my initial correspondence with SSameer, I thought he was very helpful and patient with the many emails i sent him. Since he wasnt there while we stayed at his place, we ran into a few speed breakers, but overall it was a good stay.

We stayed for four days in this tiny but comfortable room! Ssameer was only there to greet us but provided a wealth of information on how to use the subway and cheap eats nearby. This was a perfect location for a quiet nights' sleep (even with the window open) and to catch the #1 subway line that got us to ALL of the places we wanted to see! I HIGHLY recommend staying here to those of you on a serious budget and the food nearby is delicious! Try La Flor De Broadway, it's steps away! I'm telling all my friends about this place! Ssameer was a great host. He was constantly asking me if I was comfortable. I really appreciated how warm the apartment was during the really cold week I was there. The area is great with a supermarket a couple of hundred feet away and all kinds of restaurants. The train is also down the block! I definitely recommend his place!

We spend 12 nights in Ssamer’s apartment. He was really welcoming and friendly, and contact before arrival was easy. Once there and when the sofa was unfolded, do not expect to walk in the "room", it’s impossible (6m² max, including a small closet). No ventilation and inability to open the window, and a noisy heating pipe where high heat escapes which is impossible to resolve. The sound insulation is insufficient between the apartments, especially when the stairwell is taken as a playground. In addition, another room rented by SSamer was occupied by two other guests. So the apartment was shared with 5people including the small bathroom, a hallway-kitchen and hallway-lounge. Talking about the bathroom, it includes the toilet, with problems of flush, a broken tub with a cleanliness limited which depends on the cleanliness of the five residents. The apartment on the ground floor offers no light. Subway, a super market, a McDonalds and many other fast food are really close to the apartment . Thus, the apartment is recommended for small budget and very short stay.

Ssameer was really friendly and nice. My bf was a little shy and Ssameer was totally cool with letting us be. The room was as mentioned small, but the location is truly near to the subway. I appreciated that Ssameer offered us additional blankets to stay warm. All in all, it was a great experience staying here!

This was the second time I stayed at Ssameer's and just as last time he was a lovely host. I shared the room with a friend this time and even though it's quite small it worked out just fine. Location-wise, this is really a perfect spot. The place is clean and well looked after. It's not the most quiet of houses so you might prefer the other room that's in the back of the apartment if you are sensitive to noises from the stairwell.

We enjoyed staying at Sameer's place. It's very small but we didn't mind at all because you're just there to sleep anyway. The neighbourhood's safe and the appartment is really close to the subway. Sameer's a great guy who gave us a lot of useful tips and recommended some good restaurants to us (we loved the dumplings, by the way!). Things could be a tiny bit cleaner though, but it doesn't stop us from saying that if you want to stay in NY but you don't have that much money to spend, this is the best place to go. It really gives you the feeling of 'living' in NY, only if it's just for a few days or a week!

Seriously, everything Ssameer wrote about himself is true, He's a real nice new yorker. His positive attitude and general friendliness made me feel welcome in his home, which was one of the things I worried about before going to stay at his place. The room is, as advertised, cozy, meaning small, but sufficient for base camp. Subway is less than a minute walk from the flat, the grocery store which is even closer was one of the nicest and most deliciously supplied i've seen during my entire week of sightseeing, I guess that bit of information might matter to some people, so here it is :)

We had a great time in NY and staying at Sameer's made it possible. The subway is right there and it takes you everywhere, cheap good places to eat and a very safe neighborhood. Sameer was always willing to help us out with anything we needed and had great recommendations for us regarding where to go or what to do. The more than 150 good comments he has on this site speak for themselves and Sameer lives up to them. I lack the words to truly describe what a great host he is, but you can prove that by staying at his place. Yes, the room might be small, but the bed is comfortable and we slept really well every night. It's cheap and you sleep very well, what else do you need? The rest of the day you have the whole city of New York out there.

Friendly and nice host. Happy stay experience. I felt welcomed. The building is pretty old. The room is tiny, which is just a little bigger than a fulton/sofa. But I need to take class during the daytime, and the place is only 2 subway stops away from my campus, and I only need a place to sleep at night, so this place is good to me. I felt it's very convenient to commute between my campus and Ssameer's place. For the price and the location, it's a good value. Things need to be improved: The blanket and the quilt can be cleaner. They didn't smell very fresh and clean...

It was fantastic! The neighbourhood was so nice and friendly and ssameer was so friendly too. The room was adequat and i slept very well there. The subway is so near, just 2minutes! Really save area! I have already recommended ssameer in my circle of friends and will definitely book there again my next accommodation!
