Perfect holiday rental!

Our apartment is an 875 sq ft 1BR in a classic Brooklyn Brownstone - very spacious, clean and sunny with windows on both ends.

The apartment has 5 rooms in all, but only one bedroom with a new and very comfortable queen size bed, a big leather couch, an open kitchen & dining room looking out into a tree-filled backyard. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking gear, and you are free to use any and everything you need. The bathroom is also newly renovated although small, but the rest of the apartment is big. Front room serves as an office/study.

High speed wireless internet, 32 inch HDTV with a DVD player (with Netflix on-demand and unlimited Pandora widgets), Nintendo Wii, and of course, all utilities!!

This apt is situated on a block that is one of the secret gems of Brooklyn - between Carroll Gardens and Red Hook; you get the best of both worlds. Restaurants, bars and public transportation are all a short walk away. You can find everything you need in this safe and tree-lined neighborhood: excellent markets, boutiques, music venues, delis, and parks. The nearest subway is the F & G at Carroll Street, and the B61 bus is very nearby. If you drive, parking is very easy in front of the apartment, and easy to get to since we’re near the BQE.

  • My stay on Summit Street was perfect and I definitely recommend Natalie's home to others. The guide to her place and to the neighborhood that she sent ahead of time was a big help to finding my feet quickly. The apartment is cosy, charming, and beautifully organized. I loved looking out the kitchen area window at the greenery of the backyard trees. It's in a very good, convenient location: attractive, neighborhood character and short walking distance to restaurants, cafés. The 10-minute walk to the subway is through peaceful, tree-lined streets of lovely old brownstones. I found the bus on Colombia is a nice way to see the sights sitting down when your legs give out! If you want an outdoor picnic close to home and the community garden on the corner is closed, walk around the corner to the right on Colombia and there's another lovely community garden on the next corner that stays open very long hours. Can't neglect to mention Natalie's sweet cat. She has a gentle, generous nature and made me feel welcome on her turf. It was a pleasure to look after her.

  • Natalie was kind enough to offer this space to us after another airbnb booking fell through for us at the last minute; despite being o.s., she was available via email for any questions we had. The location of the accommodation was quiet and neighbourhoodly, and the walk to the subway was only about 10 minutes. Her friendly yet elusive kitty, stimpy, was a pleasure to look after.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Natalie's apartment for an extended New Year's weekend, and we could not have been happier. Their cat Stimpy was very sweet and nearly non existent. Natalie was a wonderful host and even gave us a guide recommending local restaurants, groceries, and bars. The apartment was on the second floor and the building was quiet and comfortable. We were able to walk to Red Hook from the apartment and close to the F train. The neighborhood felt extremely safe and there seemed to be a nice mix of historical Brooklyn and utter hipness. I could not more highly recommend Natalie's apartment. I would definitely stay again.

  • We loved staying at Natalie's place, and hanging out with her super cool, cat, Stimpy. My husband wants to trade in our cats for hers, in fact. :) The apartment is cozy and stylish without being pretentious in any way, and Natalie was very responsive and helpful. She even goes the extra mile by suggesting area restaurants and grocery stores! The neighborhood is that increasingly rare blend of gentrified and old world Brooklyn, with plenty of cool stuff to see. We recommend you walk down to the waterfront in Red Hook and check out the decaying vintage subway train, and pop in one of the affordable but delicious restaurants along Van Brunt. This apartment is a perfect size for people who like a little personal space when traveling together, and worked great for us with our 2-year-old since we could put her to bed and stay up without disturbing her at all! I highly recommend Natalie's place, if you couldn't already tell. :)

  • i loved Natalie's apartment, cat, and neighborhood. I'd stay there again in a second! And Natalie was really organized and helpful too.

  • A very organized and welcoming host, super and spacious apartment and friendly cat. :)
