Vine Studio - Near Sunset & Vine!

  The location of this unit was great. I had a good friend who lived only about 10 min away in a residential area and they suggested that I stay in this area. The unit itself is fairly small but has everything you need for a week or so stay. If you like air-conditioning this is not the place to stay. I had no problem with no A/C because the climate was beautiful. One issue I had was the first night when I arrived after a day out the entire apt smelled like someone stunk up the bathroom while I was gone...very weird. Parking at night around the weekend is very difficult. Multiple times we needed to park quite a bit down Vine, and my good friend said Sunset Blvd during the night isn't the best area. All in all I would stay here again, the area is prime and there are many places to eat and enjoy. The apartment is safe and almost anything you need is in the unit. Oh and there were two really cute cats that roam the out side courtyard! Great experience overall!

  Matthew provided us with a map and as much information as possible once we booked his little studio in Hollywood. It was super easy to find and was great for a few nights stay. The location is excellent for walking around, which we did a lot of. There are a whole lot of places to eat within 5 mins, and pleanty to see and do. The place was clean, bright and inviting. The shower was lovely and nice and clean! Thanks Matthew!

  The studio is exactly as pictured - very nice building with everything you would need during your stay. It is very central to the main tourist attractions in Hollywood. The only downside was the weak wireless signal that kept dropping. Matthew was very responsive via email and was a pleasure to communicate with. We would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a place close to the sights :)

  The Vine studio is a great deal for a traveler looking to stay close to Hollywood attractions/metro/Hiking and more and not spend all their budget on hotel fees! The studio itself is located in an older building with a really nice inner courtyard; it's right next to a coffee shop/deli as well as a little shopping strip that includes an awesome vegan 'fast food' spot! The area is not 'posh' by any means and you should pay attention when walking around at night but really as long as you head towards Hollywood on Vine you are pretty fine. I'm a NYer and an explorer so I loved taking the metro to my business meetings as well as the bus and walking all over the place. A great morning walk was up to Franklin Avenue and then all the way over to Fern Dell Road where the entrance to Griffith Park is...hiking up to the observatory is amazing and you can hit a great raw juice/smoothie place on Franklin on the way back. The apartment was great for the most part; I had a small problem the first night with the fridge making noise and Matt immediately responded to my concerns and came over the next day to fix it. It was much quieter after that and didn't disturb my stay! He also brought over a brand new hair dryer to replace the old one. I will definitely stay here or in the larger studio when I'm next in town!

  The Studio on Vine, is nothing but a five star experience. The accommodation is as described, the area is fantastic, with all needs in walking distance. It was great to be in the heart of hollywood, yet free from the hustle, noise and crowds. Matthew is a terrific host, he is attentive and communicative, available when needed, and respectful of privacy when not needed. I couldn't have asked for a better two weeks in Hollywood.   I honestly cannot fault this studio. Everything about it was what I needed and more. It's in one of the most beautiful buildings in Hollywood, the apartment itself is divine and the location is outstanding. When in LA I won't be staying anywhere else (if I can help it!)

  The building is a nice, cozy place, well located if you want to be close to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, etc. but not so close to the beach. The area isn't that nice, but you have several grocery stores and commerces nearby. The appartment itself is comfortable in size. It has Internet Connection and TV with Netflix, but the connection doesn't work that well neiter has good signal. The bed is OK but a bit small and the main problem we found was the fridge, which is quite noisy.

  After arriving from Australia after a 14 hour flight we were extremely happy to arrive at Matt's clean, comfortable, quiet and homely apartment. Although renting a car in LA is a must, the location is a great base. I was comforted to know that the apartments were gated and secure and although the gates are closed on Sunday we didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes for a resident to come out and let us in after then. The apartment is exactly as the pictures depict. Clean and tidy. No odors (except for the coffee you can brew complimentary of Matt) along with a few bits and pieces to get you through your initial arrival. Even a hairdryer! Plenty of towels, the shower is steady and hot and we couldn't have felt more at home. I would recommend this gem for any couple looking to feel safe and comfortable in a crazy city. Thanks again Matt!!

  Needing a quick place to stay for 2 nights in LA from Sydney my girlfriend and I found Matthew's apartment very very well suited to our needs. Close to transportation and Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd. The Vine St Deli downstairs does a mean sandwich and I would recommend that for sure if you are staying here. Matthew was easy to contact and get in touch with replying to all my text messages and emails even offering great suggestions for nearby places which suited me well as a first timer in LA. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. Felt even safer knowing there was an on site security guard patrolling the hallways at night as well. Highly recommend this apartment.

  Great cozy apartment in a perfect location! The apartment is very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. Although I never had the chance to meet Matthew because my traveling times were sporadic, he was very accommodating.
