My husband and I stayed at Laura's place with our sisters (from out of state) who had come to attend our son's wedding in Austin. I originally chose Laura's place because it was reasonable priced, had good reviews, was pet-friendly (we have a dog), available for our dates, and could accommodate us and our relatives. We came into the unit and were greeted with a clean, comfortable environment and even snacks and bottles of water for our refreshment. Laura's place is clean, with comfortable beds and plush bathroom towels. There was coffee in the cupboard plus a few other staples. We enjoyed the convenience of a full kitchen (including dishwasher), but if you are into cooking like I am, you may want to bring a few things along (paring knife, peeler, measuring cups/spoons). We were surprised to find that the property had a fully-fenced yard, which we absolutely appreciated for our dog. She had so much fun running and smelling about and taking in all the sights and sounds of the corner lot shaded by beautiful oak trees. The patio also served us well, because relatives who had come to town for the wedding were stopping by to visit, and the patio, which had two chairs and a small table was roomy enough to comfortably hold four additional camp chairs we had with us--providing us a nice outdoor space to hang out. We had ample room in the driveway or on the street in front of the property for parking. There were trash and recycling receptacles just outside the fence, and a small laundry room with a washer and dryer available for our use. We liked the property/unit so much that we tried to rent it for UT's graduation weekend, but it wasn't available. It is in the SOCO zip code, (stands for South Congress, but could also stand for SO COnvenient to roadways, restaurants, businesses and parks. There was one unforeseen problem during our stay--the thermostat of the (one year new) AC stopped working. Laura and her niece, Hayly were immediately on it--and had the thermostat replaced as quickly as possible, and in time to keep us cool before the next warm front moved in. We would definitely recommend this property to other Airbnb-er guests.

I am from Austin, TX I work in high tech. Local gal, knows all of the good spots to go to! Bought this duplex in 2007 and lovingly remodeled it, plan to retire there when I move back in town. Until then, enjoy owning something a part of Austin that is so beautiful, and close to SOCO, Zilker and Barton Springs.
