This is a large (1000sf), bright, private 1-bedroom apartment on the 5th floor of a beautiful prewar doorman elevator building. Located centrally in a wonderful neighborhood, on spectacular tree lined block between Columbus Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue (voted in top 10 best blocks in New York by Time Out Magazine). The apartment is located one block from both the entrance to central park’s beautiful Sheep Meadow and historic strawberry fields as well as Riverside park. The apartment is only a 5 minute walk to the Time Warner Center, Museum of Natural History & Rose Center for Earth and Space/Hayden Planetarium, Lincoln Center, the Juilliard School, The Beacon Theater, Magnolia Bakery, Trader Joe's and Fairway. Easy access to all the museums on the east side, downtown and Times Square with subway and bus transportation (1,2,3, A,C,E) less then one block away.

The apartment comes fully equipped with amenities such as a queen bed, linens, towels, multiple flat HDTV’s, cable, cable internet, WiFi, printer, xbox360/dvd, full kitchen, 8 person dining room table, air conditioning and laundry in the building. We also have a queen-sized air mattress and a very comfortable couch.

We loved this apartment. Great location... thoughtful hosts who went above and beyond...fresh flowers...essentials in fridge as we arrived very late with two young children - much appreciated. Comfortable bed and sofa which served as two perfect beds for our 10 and 7 year old kids. Couldn't have wished for more....never staying at hotel again!

We found out when we arrived that Todd and his wife live in the appartment, and found out that there was no room for our belongings. The refrigerator was also full with their food, and the dogs appliances were around. So those were the upsetting matters. The appartment in itself is nice, but as we were four we had a big trouble finding the bedding. There are so many things that there is no room for anything else.

We had a wonderful time @ UWS Huge Prewar Doorman 1BDR! The apt. was very roomy for NYC and the location was perfect. Steps away from the subway, Central Park, and museums. Todd was a perfect host. I would definitely recommend him.

The location was great and the apartment is very spacious for a one bedroom apartment. Todd was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. If we visit NYC again, we'll definitely see if this place is available!

This is a great location and a comfortable place very near Central Park and the subway. We had a little confusion about how to get in, and how to set up bedding for our kids, but it all worked out well.

This was a PERFECT location and a fabulous place. The apartment is RIGHT be the subway station that will get you anywhere and being that close to Central Park is a plus. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved staying in this feel-good apartment, great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, Fairway Market for groceries was amazing, easy subway system nearby. Contemporary, Ikea feel. Two teenagers slept on the large L-shaped sofa (which they chose rather than the aerobed provided) and the adults got the bedroom. Teens liked the large screen TV to chill after a full day/evening of the city. Todd responded right away to our questions, provided a list of area restaurants and info for us, and had the apartment keys ready for us on time. We'd return!
