Fred made sure that we were comfortable once we checked in, and with the extras that we brought with us we were even more comfortable. His home was close to many amenities, but located in a quiet neighborhood. Thank you for taking care of us!

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage of Fred Radewagen! I had not had a week off for vacation for several years and a quite and comfortable experience at the cottage. This helped me relax and also enjoy the many benefits of the beach. Fred's price for the stay there was a gift from God. I am going through a salary reduction at my work and this aided me in having a good vacation break at a very low cost. I recommend this cottage, especially for those who need a vacation at low cost. Fred's a great host! I was originally scheduled for my 1st visit the weekend before labor day, but Hurricane Irene had other ideas. Fred kept me informed of what was going on in Reho that weekend (ultimately evacuation for everyone) and offered to either refund my $ or allow me to pick alternate dates. I decided on alternate dates and ended up spending 1 night in the guest room and 3 more on the futon in the living room. Fred's place is a nice, clean cottage in a quiet, friendly neighborhood located close to everything you might want to enjoy in Reho. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower and maybe keep a couple things in the fridge this is a good place to stay.

Fred was a great host (very helpful when we had questions and made us feel completely at ease in his house), the cottage was clean and comfortable, and we hardly noticed the lack of an air conditioner thanks to the sea breeze and rehoboth's fantastic weather (we didn't even need to turn on a fan!). I highly recommend Fred and his beach cottage and would most certainly stay with him again.

Fred is a welcoming and congenial host who offers basic accommodation for the budget-minded beachgoer. Fred's cottage is not for those who require electronic stimulation, however, as there is no TV or video player. Also those who cannot live without air conditioning had better look elsewhere. However, if you are happy with cool breezes and a fan to keep comfortable, and enjoy a quiet & homey atmosphere where you can sleep peacefully at night, then I can recommend Fred's cottage. Both the location and price are unbeatable!

The room is as described and if you are in town for just a few days and not looking for frills this is the place. It is close to everything. In a quiet community. Fred is a very gracious and kind host and will make sure that you have a good time. I highly recommend his location.

Fred was a great host!

Cozy place with a friendly and welcoming host! The place is small - enough to suit 2 to 3 people. Our basic needs were taken care of and the location was perfect (very close to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife). Would love to stay in the area again. Thanks to Fred for calling a few days before our arrival to give directions and arrange meeting time. Also for offering us a ride to the beach!

Fred is a very nice guy. He answered all of our questions as far as groceries, restaurants, and directions are concerned. His house is in need of a few repairs so his asking price is extremely low, but all the basics (i.e. bathroom, kitchen, bedroom) are in working order. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and want to get away to the beach you should look into Fred's Rehoboth house. However, if you are high maintenance this place is not for you. We will definitely consider staying with Fred in the future.

The place has a few items that still need work, but Fred is an excellent host and the price is certainly right.

Fred and his wife were very responsive to questions I had about the place and were nice people and good hosts. The location is very convenient if you want to check out all the beaches in the area- Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany and the price is waaaaaay cheaper than anything else in the area. Keep in mind that the cottage is in transition and you are getting what you pay for-Its not for everyone, but if you are on a budget and want to spend some time at the beach then go for it.
