Romantic Cabin by the Beach!

Michelle's place is exactly as represented in the pics and from the other feedback. She spends a lot of time caring for her home with details centered around her artistic flair. She is very easy to connect with and I enjoyed our conversation a lot. The space was very comfortable and the outdoor bath was very relaxing.

Clean and cozy, this little cabin is a gem! It is perfectly situated close to the beach and downtown. Michelle's art makes the space personal and unique, and I can't say enough about the awesome record player and outdoor tub. Michelle is very kind, and she even cooked us an amazing breakfast! I wish we could have stayed longer, if simply to chat more. I would definitely recommend this rental for anyone passing through the area.

Michelle was a wonderful host!! The cabin is clean and cozy. We enjoyed listening to the great selection of records and loved all the artistic details of the house and yard. The cabin felt private and we were close to local attractions. We will definitely be telling our friends to stay here if they're passing through Santa Cruz.

We enjoyed our time there; Michelle was very welcoming and helpful. The best part is the outdoor bathtub---very rootsy and luxurious at the same time.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful one-night stay at the cabin! Michelle, being the wonderful host that she is, baked english flapjacks in the morning which were a perfect snack to eat while we walked by the beach, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the cabin! There were a few bugs in the cabin, but they weren't bothering anybody.

We excpected a better room, unfortunetly it wasn't clean and the furniture from the garden was rusted, and too many bugs inside the room.

I absolutely LOVED this place and I loved Michelle.... wow.... what a sweet amazing little get away! This is in a fantastic area in Santa Cruz, easy walking to the beach and walking to restaurants. The whole property is very enchanting and inviting. Michelle is sweet as can be. She also recommended a really fabulous restaurant in walking distance. She had delightful goodies as it was right after Easter. Her artwork is spectacular. And the cabin itself is sooooo cozy..... I listened to old album which was very nostalgic. There is nothing quite like the sound of an old record playing and feeling the needle drop on the album. The bed was extremely cozy and soft and snuggly..... there were even beautiful Angel wings hanging on the wall. My favorite part was the outdoor bathtub, taking a warm bath at night time under little white fairy lights is pretty wonderful. I can't wait to come back! Thank you :)

What's not To love about staying in Michelles eclectic back yard? The cabin is private and very charming. Michelle herself is an engaging and generous host. We were lucky to arrive after her annual Easter party and were able to sample some of her delicious baked treats. It's easy wandering distance to the beach and down town.

awesome, we had a wonderdul stay with Michelle. the cabin was exactly what we expected, a quote from Michelle "it is glamping". even the toeential downpour didnt hamper our good time. thanks Michelle.

Michelle is fantastic, and if I were basing just on her sweet and generous personality I would insist that AirBNB allow me to give 100 stars! She agreed to meet us at a time which was a bit inconvenient to her, then gave us a tour through her house and extensive collection of artwork, and finally mapped out (literally and metaphorically) the places, restaurant, and bars that she thought we would enjoy visiting. The reason for less than perfect reviews comes therefore in no way because of a lack of hospitality, but rather based solely on the room. While it was charming like the rest of the house, it is really small. And don't plan on having an intimate stay in this room, as it is pretty much in the middle of the house with little privacy from Michelle or her roommates. Again though, she and they are beyond nice, and I still give it a very solid 4 star rating.

Michele's place is amazing and so is her art! The place is artistic, interesting, and very comfortable. I had no trouble sleeping soundly. Michelle is sweet and accommodating. Perfect place to stay in Santa Cruz!

It was very nice to stay there for one night. I wasn't around much, but Michelle suggested a walk down to the beach and a good place to get dinner. I enjoyed hanging out in the beautiful back yard in the sunshine. Michelle's home was comfortable and filled with locally relevant art crafted by her own hands (eggs!). I really enjoyed my stay and would very comfortably recommend her home to others!

We enjoyed two days at Michelles place, and although it was a short stay we had a really good time in this very interesting house filled with all sorts of home made art in every available spot. Only minor strange thing was a bathroom without a sink, although one was available in a secondary bathroom.

Michelle was a great host with a wonderful place. She was warm and inviting -- and very flexible with last minute changes to our itinerary. She also gave terrific suggestions for nearby restaurants and bars. The house and bedroom are cozy but not too small and very well decorated with a cool, vintage look. Highly recommended!

Michelle is incredibly sweet. She made us delicious macaroons! Her place is beautiful, especially the backyard. We would definitely stay with her again.

I stayed in Michelle's guest room for a few days after moving to Santa Cruz. The description/pictures are accurate, and the bed is very comfortable! Michelle has a really cool house with lots of interesting art inside. She's also very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend staying here!
