Mission Sunshine, with Private Bath

Ivan and Wendy are warm and delightful hosts with one sweetheart of a little dog, Milo. Their home is truly representative of their love of travel and San Francisco, and the great pride they take in their happening and "full-of-history" neighborhood, the Mission. An added bonus is the stacks of fantastic and quality fiction literature available for guest perusal. Loved this. The guest room was spotless, quiet, and sunny in the morning. The bed was comfy, and the room had great Wifi access. The lovely, likewise very clean and private bathroom with clawfoot tub and fantastic shower were refreshing. They were very kindly able to accommodate my late arrival with advance notice. Trust me, and don't stay elsewhere in SF. You should enjoy the hospitality and comfort of the home of Ivan and Wendy! ~Meagan

I had to cancel last minute due to an emergency at home, but I plan on staying here my next trip to SF!

Wendy and Ivan are the perfect host and a great advocat for Airbnb. Great location and 5 star experience at a fraction of the cost.

Ivan and Wendy were wonderful hosts - very communicative before I arrived and so easy to talk to and get along with. They went out of their way to be accommodating (thanks!). Their place is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect location (and the bathtub is to die for). I'd recommend staying here any time and hope to again!

A great stay in a lovely home and just the perfect neighborhood. I was only there for a short time for business, but Ivan and Wendy were extremely gracious and helpful when I saw them. I hope to come back!

Great room, perfect location, and wonderful hosts!

I decided to give airbnb a try for new years weekend in SF. This was my first experience with the site and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not disappointed at all! Ivan and Wendy were great hosts who truly made me feel welcome in their terrific home. Comfortable room, great location, nice and interesting people, fresh coffee in the morning...what more could one ask for?

It's a guest room in Ivan & Wendy's very swanky townhouse. Clean and bright with a nice large bed, we really enjoyed the two days we spent there. If you stay with them, don't forget to ask about bakery Tartine!

My girlfriend and I spent two nights with Ivan and Wendy as part our our trip to the west coast. We stayed with a friend in LA before and the W hotel after. Since this was or first air bnb stay we were not sure what to expect. Turned out to be awesome. Wendy and Ivan's spot is a great location and easly accesible via public transportation. They offered us use of the common space and kitchen and even let us do a load of laundry. The bed and linens were soft and comfortable. The room was cute and clean. Ivan and Wendy were laid back and we enjoyed casual conversations with them. They offered information on good eats and travel routes. If you want to stay in the mission this is the a great option.

I enjoyed my stay at the place of Ivan and Wendy. The room is comfortable, with a private bath and you can use the kitchen. I felt at home far away from home, exactly as airbnb should be....Ivan and Wendy are very nice and fun to talk with. The location is great, about 10 minutes walking distance from 2 bart stations. Recommended !

Ivan and Wendy are great. They're friendly, relaxed and interesting to be around. I've really enjoyed the times I've spent hanging out at their house - they're always friendly and welcoming hosts. And I love their house - and in a fantastic location. :)

I met Ivan & Wendy at the bottom of the Grand Canyon on a raft - no joke - and instantly found myself enchanted by their warm smiles and zest for life. They are fun-loving, down-to-earth folk who are great to spend time with. The kind of people whom you meet and feel like you may have known them forever. On a recent trip to San Francisco I had the pleasure, no luxury, of staying in their beautiful home. Their ‘old Victorian’ has been given new life – an amazing restoration (mostly done by Ivan), preserves authentic detail throughout yet is graced with an elegant modern kitchen. The house is filled with light, warmth, and is very cozy and comfortable. One day we spent the day just relaxing: coffee on the sun porch, a quick trip to Tartine, reading in the living room, watching movies, and ordered Delphina Pizza for take-out! I can’t imagine a better retreat in San Francisco. I have already introduced Wendy & Ivan to everyone I know in the neighborhood! They feel like family… but the kind you like.

It's simple. Ivan is calm. Ivan is sweet. Ivan is friendly. The combination means that he manages to handle anything in a way that seems effortless and fun, whether it's a celebratory moment or a challenge that comes up. If you have the chance to get to know him, don't skip it.

It'd be really tough to find two more sweet, gentle, engaged and playful folks than Ivan and Wendy. Their exuberance for life and warm nature are present in every interaction. When you're around W&I it's so very easy to just be yourself, and you'll find that no matter who you are, there's a level on which W&I are willing and interested in connecting with you, whether it's catching up over a beer, or telling intriguing stories about a mural you might have walked by in your adventures around SF...Their home is wonderful - comfortable, welcoming and full of understated personality. Every time I visit them I notice another detail and think, wow, I want my home to be just like that!

Ivan and Wendy are the type of people you meet while traveling, exchange emails with, and then they actually write you. They are the type of people whose honeymoon lasts for months instead of weeks. I’m not being figurative here. I was sitting at a desk for 9 months getting their disgustingly happy and cute “Wish you were here!” email photos. Who goes on their honeymoon for 9 months?? They are the type of people you meet and after ten minutes you want to keep in touch with them for pretty much ever. They are the type of people you could pass in the street and not really know how deeply nice they are. I hope that doesn’t happen to you. I hope you stop and stay. People don’t come any better than Ivan and Wendy. Oh, and they live in an awesome place in an awesome neighborhood. (“Awesome place” = I brought my friend to their housewarming and it made him say, “I want a place like this.”) If your home could fit into your suitcase, it would unfold like Ivan and Wendy’s place.
