Treehouse Overlooking SF Bay

We really enjoyed our night away in the treehouse and the Studebakers are great hosts. The treehouse is such a unique place and it definitely felt like we were miles away from it all!

Fantastic experience- we came with four people for a fun weekend, and had a blast. Doug was extremely nice and a great host. The tree house is simply amazing... I can't believe how wonderful and quaint it is. Thanks!

It was like out of a dream! Doug, Linda, and their daughter were super thoughtful and gracious hosts. They made sure all the little details were perfect too-- patchwork quilts, the shelves lined with picture books, candles at the dining table, a kettle and teacups for morning tea. Doug was even kind enough to give us a lift back to the BART. The night spent there was probably one of the best of my life.

We absolutely loved our stay in the treehouse! The place is amazing, even nicer than we anticipated from the photos. It s very quiet, amazing Jew, a very very nice place to stay and relax. Doug was a great host and seems like a very nice person, relax nice to share with. Breakfast was very good, we even got to meet the hens who helped to prepare it. Definitely an amazing experience. Thanks a lot!

Doug and family were super welcoming, warm and inspirational. We enjoyed the communal vibe the Studebakers exude almost more than the tree house! But the tree house is amazing, it made me want to build one, it made me feel connected and creative. it was definitely a memorable stay. One day i'll be as cool as Doug and build my own tree house.

This was the perfect getaway for some cozy peace and quiet! The treehouse is a special place and has a great vibe to it. Plus, Doug and his family are lovely and personable and make very yummy breakfasts! I would recommend this spot to anyone needing a place to stay that's close to the airport or (like me) you live close and just want a little getaway!

This is one of the most amazing experience we had in our trip in Northern California. Doug, Linda and MacKenzie are very welcoming hosts, interesting people and especially they will share with you their amazing treehouse. Staying in their treehouse is not only about "sleeping"... it is an unique opportunity to discover a new way to feel part of nature. The treehouse itself is the most romantic, warm and welcoming location possible. You can feel the love and dedication that Doug&family spent in building it, and their will to share it is amazing. Highly suggested: get ready for a fantastic experience. Our only regret is that we stayed only one night! (ps. Doug was extremely kind as he helped us in returning our rented-car to the airport - thanks again!)

Spending the night in a tree house always got a great reaction when we told our friends, and it absolutely surpassed our expectations of what a unique, romantic, fun experience it would be. Doug and Linda were wonderful hosts. They've created a beautiful space that wraps around you like a glove and meets every need. Linda was gracious and accommodating, even when we surprised her by showing up early! Their daughter, Mackenzie, drew us a map to an amazing trail in a nearby canyon. We walked down into town for dinner, and Doug picked us up on his way back home and gave us a lift. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer.

Doug and his family are the sweetest, most hospitable people I have ever been fortunate enough to stay with. Their home is beautiful (with an incredible view of the bay) and Layla the dog is friendly and loving from the get go. The treehouse was my home away from home, and I was sad to part ways with that oak tree. To be surrounded by lush vegetation, living amongst the trees, sleeping on a very impressive loft, and having a wrap-around porch to hang out on...well there's not much else I could have asked for. For everyone that desires solitude and altitude, but with certain amenities (kitchen, bathroom, Layla the dog) in close proximity...this is the place for you!
