We didn't have high expectations for a luxury vacation on the Caribbean coast of Costa we were prepared for the accommodations....Jessica was very quick to respond to all emails and was ready for us...she gave us some good insight on the area and a few recommendations...the unit we stayed in was clean and spacious... We came to this area primarily to visit the Sloth Sanctuary and Jaguar Rescue Center (JRC)...we were within about 15 minutes of the Sloth Sanctuary and about half an hour to the JRC...quite a few restaurants within walking distance of their place...and supermarket about 10-15 mins away... The drive from San Jose takes about 4 hours...the main road across is jammed with big trucks...and becomes quite busy just west of Limon because all the container loading happens out that way...I would recommend that you try and drive during daylight hours...Highway 32 from San Jose to Limon winds through the mountains...and it is very dark and drivers are very erratic...3 car accident on the eastbound side about 6pm (just after dark) shut down that side for miles...

Our stay at Coconut Love was wonderful. The apartments are quiet and the garden creates a relaxed seclusion, while in reality you're only minutes from downtown, the beach, or parks. It was a wonderful experience with terrific hosts.

Jessica and Gabor were great hosts. My daughter and I were having trouble with our credit cards not working, and they went out of their way to help us get cash. There is a great Seafood Restaurant walking distance from their place. We felt very safe walking around at night. It was awesome to spend some time in the jungle!

This is truly a little gem! Surrounded by the jungle, close to the ocean and with air con and hot shower. The monkeys made some noise, but not too much, the neighbours dogs were worse lol. The hosts are super nice and helpful, gave us tips and even invited us up on their balcony with their friends. It is really handy to have breakfast included, and it was very good with different options but always with fresh fruits and a flower :) The hours have changed to 7.30-8.30 instead of what it says in the original description. And the sloth has moved, but you will see plenty near by. The porch is fantastic and has a hammock were you can rest and read when the weather gets bad. We even saw Tucans and Hummingbirds without stepping out :). It is a very peaceful little town. We recommend the beaches in the national park, even though the nearer black sand beach is also cool. Nothing is far though, but we enjoyed hiring bikes to get around effortlessly in the heat. And a visit to the restaurant Sobre las Olas is a must. We already want to go back:) Eleanor & Anders

We had a great experience at Coconut Love. Our room was comfortable and clean. Jessica and Gabor were great hosts Our favorites are as follows: Restaurant: Cahuita Pizza. So good. Beach: Punta Uva (a 20ish minute drive, but super nice) Attraction: Jaguar Rescue Center- great people working to help animals and educate the public. Nature: Cahuita National Park. We didn't hire a guide and still managed to see a lot of wildlife. We likely would have seen more snakes and maybe some more sloths if we hired a guide, but, we saved the money and had a great time without one. We also drove to a chocolate tour on the road to Bribri (36) and also checked out a waterfall just up the road another kilometer or so from the chocolate tour- both attractions were well worth checking out.

Dear Guests,
Coconut Love Beach House is owned and operated by my husband Gabor and myself, we are from Toronto Canada. Three years ago we came here on vacation and fell in love with Costa Rica. But especially with Cahuita. We bought and fully renovated our beach house with the intention of comfort, while keeping the tropical Caribbean vibe. Your vacation is very important to us, we are here to help you in any way we can. Please don't hesitate to ask us for anything you need, and we're both happy to answer any question's you have. Our guests are our top priority, We want you to have an amazing time here at Coconut Love. Cheers! -Jessica and Gabor
