Quiet Bedroom in Downtown Cottage

My husband and I spent two nights at Jennifer's place (we were in town helping our son move into his new apartment) and were given a very comfortable bedroom and access to a very nice bathroom. We felt welcome and at ease. We highly recommend Jennifer's place - she's warm and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Oona (her dog) also welcomed us and even shared her toy! What a cute, charming house in downtown Durham. I had the place to myself and enjoyed walking to the Carolina Theatre and local restaurants. Jennifer has great style and even left granola for breakfast and went out of her way to hook me up with her neighbors to talk to me about Durham. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Jennifer was the perfect host for my few busy days in Durham. Her home was creative, impeccably clean, and comfortable. I especially stress the creative - it's lovely to stay somewhere with a little character rather than a staid hotel room. She's an easy person to get along with, and incredibly accommodating: I wanted to cook while visiting Durham, and not only did she offer her entire kitchen, but brought me to her neighbors when we needed something. I'm sad that I didn't have enough time to visit all of the local places Jennifer recommended. Knowing her, I'm sure they're amazing. There's always next time!

The room was perfect for my staying, and Jennifer was a very attentive and welcoming host. Jennifer´s house is beautiful, comfortable (her wonderful cats and dog contributes greatly to this) and conveniently located a few blocks from downtown. I would gladly stay here again.

Jennifer was extremely friendly and helpful during the course of our trip. Her home was darling, her pets were very sweet, and it was a comfortable and relaxing experience far-removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The bed was very cozy and warm and the room was very clean and nicely renovated. She recommended some great restaurants and sights in Durham and even provided some wonderful tea! We would definitely stay again, and you should, too.

Gorgeous cottage in a historic neighborhood, close to downtown Durham. The owner has restored the home impeccable with a lot of creative flourishes. Unfortunately, she was out of town, but she made sure that I was all setup in terms of getting the keys from a neighbor, etc. Her two cats were adorable!

It was a pleasant visit. Jennifer was helpful directing me to become familiar with the area. She was very cognoscente of ones space, and allowed full use of her kitchen / home. I had a great time staying at this parlor. Although it wasn't a real bedroom, the daybed was quite comfortable and the area was spacious. I was still able to have my own privacy and the cottage itself was cozy. Jennifer's pets were also the greatest! Very friendly animals if you're a dog/cats person. Jennifer answered all my questions promptly and helped me on planning my stay in Durham, The location is also within walking distance to downtown Durham, which wasn't bad at all! Sidewalks are available once you're on the main roads. I highly recommend staying here if you're in town for the weekend.

Jennifer has been our next door neighbor for about 3 years now and she's fantastic! She'll watch our dog, or lend a cup of sugar, or non-dairy soy creamer. We'd trust her with anything, and our glad she moved in next to us!
