I'd like to start by saying that the whole experience at Jen's place was awesome. Me, the wife and two daughters stayed for more than two weeks and had a great time, we surely miss it. I was impressed the first time we entered the room. We just came off a 21 hour flight and it was everything an exhausted traveller could ever wish for, a nice stylish, clean, cozy and welcoming room. I had to arrive a couple of hours earlier than the normal check in time but it was no problem for the host. The place was ready to receive me and the family. I never had a problem with anything because everything that we needed was already provided. There was some food and snack in the fridge, fresh towels, fast wireless internet, Satellite TV and a laundry area that we used several times during our stay. We had our own private access gate and patio with seating; one thing that we will never have in a hotel at that price, true value for the money. My wife normally experiences back problems with hotel beds but never did have a complaint from the one in the room, she loved it. The park in front of the house is peaceful and family friendly especially for the kids. There are two children play grounds, a basketball court, two tennis courts, long pathways for jogging and family tables with barbeque grills on the side. Parking for my rental car was never a problem. We found a good Chinese restaurant not more than a mile from the place and enjoyed it. Jen's Dad (John) is a great host, he went out of his way to help me with everything that we needed to start up our stay in L.A. He knew where to get the best deals on car rentals, GPS, mobile phones etc. We had long interesting conversations, morning walks at the park across the street and had a good laugh on a lot of thing. I will miss the morning walks in the park with him and his dog Nina. Finally, your reading this down to the end because you want to know if your need as a family, couple or as an individual will be satisfied during your stay. All I can say is that going by the high ratings and the positive comments of others who truly experienced a non-stressful stay in this place, you can never go wrong. In fact, we are already planning a comeback…

Really nice place to stay even for four people, the location is great if you're travelling by car (which you pretty much have to if you're not staying in the city). The hospitality was perfect and the hosts were very kind to us. Over all an accommodation I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage. It's very comfortable--cozy but not uncomfortably small and nicely designed and decorated . Nice tile floors and a cool bathroom and shower. Big, comfy bed and a nice flat-screen TV with a million stations. I didn't meet Jen but her mother and father greeted me and made sure I was happy. The cottage is behind their house but feels very private--they're very friendly but they also leave you be, which I appreciate. There's a park across the street but otherwise not a lot to walk to in the immediate area, so you'd want a car. But hey, it's LA! Bonus: you can get to and from the airport in under 15 minutes without getting on a freeway.

This is a great value in LA. In particular, the host is super nice, Jen's father has been really helpful, he was always trying to help. He even let us leave the luggages in the place since our flight was 10pm. Thanks and we really enjoyed the stay there!

We were greeted by Jen's father, John, who was most helpful during our stay and even carried our luggage into the spacious room. The kitchenette was well appointed and the bathroom adequate but we found the tiles to be cold due to the cooler weather during our stay. We found the house to be in a good central position for our visit as we could use our hired car for visiting the beaches or Hollywood or going southwards with no trouble.

I had the pleasure of staying with Jen and her family for over a week. The apartment is well presented and perfectly located. Close to the tourist spots and the airport. The park across the road is also great for a walk and is beautifully maintained. Jen and her father John could not have been more helpful and supportive on all issues without being too close and they made my stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this private guest house.

I can't say enough good things about this space. Very nice, clean and private. Comfy bed, great bathroom, nice little kitchenette. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating. We stayed for a week and my girlfriend commented that the space would be a cute little studio apartment to live in full-time! The neighborhood was fine and we felt safe. Centrally located so it was convenient to Hollywood, Culver City, beaches, etc! Can't wait to stay here again next time we are in LA. Thanks!

Jen's place was fantastic. She's created an awesome little nook with her guest house. It sits across from a quaint park and is literally minutes away from both Downtown LA and Hollywood. For gym enthusiasts a 24 Hour Fitness Sports Center is located roughly 1.5 mi away and the Howard Hughes movie theater/complex is a short drive. You can't go wrong with free parking and other amenities like shower gel, shampoo, towels, coffee, snacks and DirectTV inclusive of all the movie channels you would ever want. I will definitely give Jen's residence a second visit in the near future.

Great place to stay! I was in town for a conference and had absolutely no trouble getting to the convention center.

We had a blast at Jen's place. It was our first experience with Airbnb and we will definitely recommend it to everyone. Jen and her father are the best hosts you would ever imagined. they are really kind people and helpfull. If you ever need anything, they 'll try to accomodate as much as possible. Please, don't hesitate to stay at Jen's private guest house. I'll stay there whenever I will come to LA.

If you are looking to stay close to the airport, and want a place with good proximity to the major freeways, Jen's little pad might be a good place to stay. Very comfortable bed and a cool kitchenette to use as well. I never tried the pool and spa, but visitors getting sunshine will certainly enjoy it. This could be excellent for a quick layover on long distance flights for a day or two. Bed was comfortable too !

Oh staying in Ladera was lovely and peaceful! Jen's place was clean and comfy! Very homely too. We stayed there for a week and if you're driving then its great, you are close to everything! We didnt drive but took the bus, if we needed any help we could just ring Jen and it was sorted. You had the whole pool and hot tub to yoursef and it was lovely to relax after a long day of walking. All I have to say is, stay here! Its so lovely and made our first weke of our holiday great. Thanks Jen!

This is the second time I have stayed in one of Jen's places and it was great. Very clean and comfortable. It's convenient to everything and very close to the airport. I travel to LA for work and it has always been easy to get around to any studio I'm working at. The 1st night I arrived the pilot had gone out and there was no hot water, within minutes of letting her know - they were there to fix the problem. Another night I was in the mood for some "chick flicks" (yes Jen I'm ratting on myself) since I live with a male at home that prefers not to watch them... she left me about 15 within hours. I'm sure I will be returning to any place Jen has available

AMAZING host and absolutely wonderful space :-) My husband stayed here before I did a few months ago and spoke very highly of the guest house. I couldn't wait to stay there myself and see if even half of what he said was accurate...he was spot on! If the opportunity ever presents itself again we would love to stay there again!!! VERY clean accommodations and nice little touches. Highly recommended!

My friends and I had a great experience staying in the pool house. The space was extremely cozy, with a TV, bed, couch, and fridge stocked with the provisions for a yummy breakfast every morning. Jen was extremely responsive and made check-in and out a breeze. And bonus points for the hot tub! What a great way to relax after a day spent exploring L.A. Highly recommend staying in one of Jen's locations.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The grounds and room were very clean. I gave my friend the bed while I took the futon. I was totally comfortable the whole time. The location was great, easy 10/15 min drive to lots of fun stuff. The private hot tub in the evening was wonderful. Although you must ask owner to warm it up in advance. A simple place, but clean and convenient. It was a great place for my friend and I to catch up over lemon drops. An added plus was the nearby breakfast restaurant: The Serving Spoon - ((phone number hidden) Centinela Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90302. We waited an hour, worth it! But next time we'll be call in our order and pickup for breakfast by the pool.

I stayed 5 nights in this cute little guest house. It was very clean and neat and had everything to make a guest comfortable. I am often in LA to visit family and will stay there, hopefully, many more times. Very convenient to local attractions and wonderfully quiet and safe. Docia

Lovely quiet suburbia, in good driving distance from what we wanted to visit. The hosts were lovely and our guest house was nice and private. We took advantage of the hot tub, we loved chilling out, watching from the DVD collection and breakfast provisions for our first morning was a lovely surprise.

This was an absolute perfect spot to stay during my brief stay in LA. The hosts very accommodating. The place was clean, cozy, in a very convenient location (near LAX and major highways), and situated in a very quiet neighborhood. I feel fortunate to have come across such a gem and I will certainly be recommending it to my friends!

Jen is smart, funny and a blast to be around! A native Los Angeleno... which is rare! She embodies everything that is special about Southern California! If you are visiting from another country and want to get a real feel for Southern California and its people, this is where you should stay!

I've known Jen for over ten years. We met through friends in San Francisco. Enjoyed good times together. She's gracious and warm, and always a good host. A great way to experience LA and California.
