I stayed with this kind family for just over a month. The location is good. Metro North and subway are nearby. There is a laundromat and a basic grocery store nearby as well. The room is quite large and has all the necessities. Overall a great place for the price.

This is a great location to stay. They live right on the bus line so it's really easy to get around. I was able to get to Penn Station from their house in just over an hour. Allerton ave has a lot of stores on it, so if you're staying there longer there's plenty of places to get groceries and eat. There's also several laundromats nearby. All in all really convenient and as long as you don't mind the commute (if you're going to Manhattan regularly) well worth the price.

I spent several weeks here in November and found the room and house to be clean, and Frank and his family to be incredibly gracious and accommodating for the duration of my stay.

Had a great 1 month stay there while I rotated through Jacobi hospital. The room is exactly as pictured and described. The whole family was warm and welcoming and made sure to give me privacy. There's an AC and TV with a great selection of channels. The bed is big enough for two adults, and is actually quite comfortable. Internet is great (online games play without lag). The bathroom is functional and with a great shower nozzle (magnets! how do they work?). The neighborhood is safe as long as your not looking for trouble. Directly on a bus route and only a short trip to the subway/metro and even shorter to a grocery store and laundromat (literally under 4 min walk). Added bonus, they use a door code rather than a key which is real nice cause you can't like lose a code like you can lose a key. Overall the name says what you need to know: great price for a great guest (who enjoying having others in the house, but still enjoying privacy). If I'm ever in need of a room in the area, I'll certainly return here!

My fiancé and I stayed here for a month during our away rotations at the Montefiore Hospitals (Weiler, Jacobi, Moses). The location was excellent, very close and parking in the area was easy. The room was very good. It was spacious with a comfortable bed and the AC was great at keeping the room cool during this hot summer. Frank and Jacquelyn were amazing hosts! Very sweet and welcoming. They would often provide bottled waters and fruit during our stay. Jacquelyn made us dinner during our last night and it was delicious! Overall a great stay with wonderful hosts who we hope to remain friends with in the future!!
