Aloha,
Welcome to our beautiful island and your home in Honolulu. I have a private and spacious room with a queen bed in my 2bdrm condo. Uniquely built over a florist shop overlooking the lower Makiki area of Honolulu & conveniently located near Waikiki, Hawaiian Convention Center, and the world class Ala Moana Shopping Center. Your room has it's own personal refrigerator. All linens are included with hair dryer. Kitchen is complete with coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster oven. We share the bathroom and kitchen. Internet available and free parking on the street. Mc Donald's, Subway, Burger King, and Safeway two minute walk. And Auntie Pastos is right at the corner.
Bus routes: 1,1L,2,3,13,17 just steps away and will take you anywhere on the island.

Things to do:
Attend a Luau-Paradise Cove Luau which is held on a 12-acre beach at the Ko Olina Resort and features great food, Polynesian entertainment, traditional Hawaiian games, and lessons in lei making.

Discover Historic Honolulu-Visit Iolani Palace home to Hawaii's last monarchs and the only palace on U.S. soil. Also Hawaii State Capitol, the Kamehameha I Statue and the famous Aloha Tower are within a short walking distance.

North Shore-Known as the "surfing capital of the world" is about a hour drive from Waikiki. See waves reach their majestic heights. Turtle Bay and Waimea Valley nearby.

Explore Bishop Museum- The premier natural and cultural history institution in the Pacific that has the world's largest collection of Polynesian cultural and scientific artifacts.

Makapu'u Point Hike-2.5-mile round trip and a great spot for whale watching. The views of Waimanalo Bay, Sandy Beach and Koko Head are spectacular. Take a picture of the lighthouse when you reach the end. Sun is behind the cliff in mornings so go early.

Visit Pearl Harbor- Oahu's top tourist destination so go early! A visit to the Arizona Memorial is a solemn and sobering experience. You are literally standing over a grave-site where 1177 men lost their lives. Other attractions: USS Bowfin Submarine Museum, USS Missouri, and Pacific Aviation Museum opened Dec 7, 2006, 65th anniv of attack.

Diamond Head Hike-The 1.4 mile journey offers an amazing 365-degree view of Oahu. So definately bring your camera! There are handrails and benches to sit on if you want a break. Some people actually run the trail "for fun.

Shop & Surf Waikiki- Great place to shop and offers prestigious retailers such as Tiffany & Co., Chanel and Gucci as well as more modest stores such as the ever-present ABC Stores and the world-famous International Market Place. Surf lessons are available everyday on the beach and very fun too! Waikiki a MUST SEE & MUST DO something trip.

Polynesian Cultural Center-Visitors have the unique opportunity to learn about the Polynesian culture, not from books, films or television, but from the actual people who were born and live in the area's major island groups. Features Ali'i Luau for traditional Hawaiian food and entertainment.

Hawaii Food Tours-Their most popular tour is their Hole-in-the-Wall Tour which is offered daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. visiting several mouth-watering local, ethnic, and exotic restaurants and marketplaces, primarily in Honolulu's Chinatown, and two of Hawaii's most popular bakeries.

  • My husband and I stayed at Zee's for 10 days. first 7days in a living room with a single bed and remaing 3days in a private room. Both are nice, although the bed was not very comfortable. Zee is very kind and nice to her guests. Her surfing tools are very helpful and useful in enjoying Waikiki beach. The location is kinna far from Waikiki by walk but very convenient to go everywhere such as tourist attractions by bus. we had a great time in Hawaii and stayed well in Zee's house. Thanks to Zee.

  • Zee's great. She'll take care of you and offer you ideas on where to go, where places are to eat etc. If you have been staying in 5 star hotels, this isn't for you. If you want an inexpensive place where you can stop and sleep. This is for you. Pluses, Zee is fun if you're lucky enough to run into her. You have your privacy. Close to downtown, bus stops etc. Fan in room. small fridge in room tv in bedroom Locked entry to apartments. boogie boards and fins to borrow iron, ironing board, hair dryer, curlers straighteners available, you don't have to pack yours. Minuses: Louvered windows/screens, very noisy street/sirens. no air conditioning. 3 flights of stairs only street parking. 2 blocks away. Double airbed, but comfortable. Some things take some getting used to, but you get used to the situation, and start livin' de life.

  • Nice welcome from Zee with little present. Zee can advice about the bus, where to go to dinner, all about Honolulu. This is fully recommended accommodation in Honolulu. Clean room, little bit busy place but for very good price.

Zee was very genuine, friendly, and funny. the room was clean amd spacious. Beautiful location.Great stay overall! Char

  • I had good time staying with Zee. Zee is wonderful...very caring and happy to help in every way. The flat is conveniently located in Honolulu so that one can walk to Waikiki, avoiding waiting for the bus. The bus trip was wonderful; thanks to Zee telling me about the bus pass. I would love to stay with Zee again when I return. Cheers!

  • Really enjoyed my stay with Zee. I liked a lot the small gestures she made me feel welcome with (e.g. note on the bed, a magazine, small shampoo kit). Yes it was an air mattress, but that didn't bother me one bit, slept like a baby. And yes, you need to wear earplugs to sleep due to the traffic noise, but I also didn't see this as a problem and it's a small trade off for the excellent location (exactly between downtown and Waikiki, walking distance almost anywhere).

  • Zee's place was our first stop on our move to Hawaii. The room was clean, comfortable, excellent. Zee was very accommodating and willing to share her experiences and insight to help us find an apartment and get settled

  • This is the second time we stayed with Zee...at the beginning and at the end of two months in Hawaii. It was great to be 'home" again. We had a rental car and there was free street parking a block away.

  • We enjoyed very much our time in the appartment of Zee. The flat is conveniently located in Honolulu so that one can walk to Waikiki, avoiding waiting for the bus. Zee was very friendly. We did not see her very often, but when we did we always had a nice chat.
