Excellent position. The apartment is clean with all the necessities. It would be better if the aprtment would be equipped with ventilating system to fresh the air in rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at Franck's apartment, the house is located in a beautiful part of the city, just few steps away from Centre Pompidou, Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame! The metro station is very close, and the Marais is full of nice restaurants, brasserie and if you want to eat something at home the shop is just 50 m away and it's open until 10pm. The apartment is very quite, warm and nice and it's equipped of everything you might need for you holiday. WiFi connection is perfect. Franck has been very nice host. We look forward for our next time in La Verrerie!

Very comfortable, quiet apartment in a perfect location in one of Paris's best neighborhoods. I wish I had skipped buying a 5-day public transportation pass because the apartment is so well situated that the only time I needed trans was to get to and from the airport.

Franck's apartment is a gem. Perfectly appointed, everything you need, and nothing you do not to get in your way. Clean, quiet, excellent hot water and reliable wifi. Comfortable, and clever, sofa-bed. All just steps from Le Marais, the metro, Louvre and the Seine.

Franck was there to greet us as planned and was very pleasant and helpful. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Location is absolutely perfect. Several stairs to the apartment but I guess that is Paris. Would stay again.

We just got back from 7 lovely nights in Paris and the experience was only enhanced by this lovely apartment. Franck was punctual meeting us at the apartment and although we never needed him for anything, it was nice to know that he lives in Paris and could easily be reached by email or phone. Franck was very nice and made sure the apartment was clean when we moved in. We did not speak much French so it was nice that Franck could understand English. He also has copies of his published book in the apartment which was cool. Franck owns a few other apartments in the city, but we only stayed in this one. Given the price and location of this apartment, it really was a no-brainer choosing this apartment. Highlights of the apartment Great Location: - The hotel de ville metro station, which goes directly to many locations is just downstairs the apartment. We did not even have to go across the street to get to it. - Pompidou and Notre Dame were each a 2 minute walk away - There was a Franprix supermarket (chain supermarket) 5 minutes away where we could get meats for sandwiches, wines, cheeses, eggs and milk. - Our favorite Boulangerie (bakery) was 5 minutes away. It's called boulangerie Heurtier and has the best baguettes, sandwiches and chocolate croissants we've ever had. We went here for breakfast almost everyday and also to grab a few baguettes for our day. - proximity to great restaurants, 10-15 minute walk to Breizh Cafe, Chez Robert et Louise, and Frenchie. It is also 10 minutes away from the latin quarter if you want more food options (albeit a bit more touristy) Comfortable and spacious apartment - Very comfortable bed, clean linen and pillows, and great and clean bathroom with a full shower. There is also a kitchen stocked with tea, kettle, microwave, cookware, toaster, oven etc. The living room has a big red sofa that is super comfy, great lighting a coffee table and a desk and chair if you want to do work. - The apartment is very spacious, especially if you're from NYC and used to living in sardine boxes. - The wifi is very fast, and Franck provides outlet converters so you can plug in your American computers/iphone chargers. - very safe neighborhood. We came home late at night every day and never once did we feel unsafe. The apartment is in the 4th arrondisement in the Marais which is a more affluent neighborhood and very lively at nights, especially the weekends. There are a ton of cafes and restaurants in the area and everyone we met were super friendly and nice.

la chambre est très clean et agréable, c'est calme (même si les murs sont en papier et que l'on entend chaque bruit des chambres voisines, mais les locataires sont très respectueux et silencieux) et très bien situé. Je trouve difficile d'avoir les toilettes séparées et à l'étage, mais si on réfléchit au rapport qualité-prix, il n'y a rien à redire. Je me suis fait du thé en regardant la télé (plein de chaînes disponibles) et le wifi fonctionne très bien. Je recommande ce logement pour les gens seuls qui veulent être au coeur du marais, et qui ne craignent pas d'escalader cinq étages sans ascenseur ;-) p.s prenez votre téléphone aux toilettes, car la lumière est reliée à la minuterie de l'étage et s'éteint rapidement et l'interrupteur dans les WC est hors service… donc si vous n'aimez pas faire pipi dans le noir, soyez prévoyants.

comfortable bed, good space for two people. saved money using the kitchenette. stayed warm in the winter. very central location. toilet down one floor from apt. apt 5 or 6 floors up.

This apartment is in a great location! The neighborhood is safe and there are all sorts of shops, cafes, and restaurants near by. It is also very close to a metro stop. Franck was kind and responsible host. He is punctual and always answers his emails in a timely fashion. The apartment its self is very small but for the price and the location it works just fine. The bed was uncomfortable and the 5 flights of stairs were a little of an inconceivable. But all in all we had a very nice stay

great little place with an excellent location for getting around. very nicely kept and clean. franck's directions made it really easy to find the place as well... which is wonderful when you don't really know the city at all! the skylight in the kitchen leaked when it rained, which wasn't a big deal, we through a pot on the floor to catch the water and let franck know about it. i do wish the hot water lasted a bit longer, but we just alternated showers - one person at night and the other in the morning and it was fine. all in all we had a lovely stay there!

Franck's place is absolute lovely. It is the biggest 12m² room I have ever been in and it has everything you need. You can save a lot of money cooking yourself and the kitchen has all the equipment you need (wine opener included). The best thing about this appartment is of course its location. You can reach everything by foot and you really are at the heart of the city. Two common metro stations are just around the corner. Perfect for solo trips, very romantic for couples. Franck's apartment was very well located on a lovely street in the Marais, very near the Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame. The building is quite old, which we found charming, and the size was perfect for two people for a week. We loved the hand-hewn beams in the ceiling. Franck met us on time at the apartment, which we appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped, and we were able to cook a couple of meals and make coffee and breakfast every morning. Franck's housekeeping was adequate, though not stellar. If you are fussy about such things, allow a half hour of dish-washing and a touch up in the bathroom at the beginning of your stay.. (I'm fussy about such things, but a bit of cleaning at the beginning made me feel comfortable and the location and other pluses made it well worthwhile.) The bed linens and towels were nicely laundered, and there were extra pillows and blankets available as needed. Also a good reading lamp by the bed. Franck's directions to the apartment were very good, and it was fast and easy to get to the location by train to and from the airport. I'd recommend this place as charming, very good value for the money, and with a reliable host.
