Studio Apartment in Leicester Sq

It's one of the cheapest place in the area, but for a reason. The apartment is cheaply furnished with a small single bed and a futon. There were no bedsheets provided, only a mattress cover and a futon, which I thought was uncomfortable and unhygienic. The listing says they have wi-fi, but Tizzy wanted me to connect to the bistro downstairs. When that didn't work, she gave me a mobile broadband USB stick, which was okay, but kept disconnecting. What I hated is that they emailed me on the last evening of my stay to tell me I had to leave by 11:30am because the next guests were coming in at noon. I hadn't planned on leaving until later in the afternoon, and didn't expect there would be new guests on Monday morning. I thought one of the points of airbnb was that you could be more flexible with check-in and out, and thought they handled that poorly. I also had to be out of the apartment for a few hours over the weekend because there was some plumbing work to do, and they didn't offer any compensation for that. With the high circulation of guests they seem to be having, I think they should invest in a real bed, bedsheets, and Internet connection. In the meanwhile, I'll put up a few bucks extra and stay somewhere nicer.

Great time in London at Lucy! The apartment is perfectly placed and very well equipped. we will definitely return one day.

Hosts: Lucy is very friendly and was always responding fast to any of our questions. Thank you! They are really helpful and made the stay as comfortable as it could be. Room: Expect not a luxury apartment but it is nice and clean. We slept there with three people and that was absolutely manageable. The couch sofa is quite worn (sacks in the middle, more or less this is my reason to only give 4 starts), the kitchen has everything you need and there is even a hair-dryer ;-) Location: Great, great, great!!! Near to Piccadilly and right between China Town and Soho. This is a great location for having a beer and having a nice evening. It is very loud so if you plan to go to bed early take some earplugs with you. Location is great!!!

Pros: - location was AWESOME. all the theatres, shops, cafes and bars were within walking distance, and if not, just a short tube ride away. you save alot of money walking and not taking the tube (a day pass within zones1-2 costs 7 pounds) - lucy and tizzy were so helpful and accommodating. we arrived 2 hours later than expected cos of a slight flight delay and our getting stuck at customs, but they very patiently waited for us :) Cons - hot water goes on and off intermittently, which isnt that desirable in cold weather (but i stayed with a friend in her london apartment before and this seems to be a common problem) - apartment wasnt as clean as I hoped, it was a little dusty - the futon gave us a neckache because there is a depression in the middle (ie doesnt really open up that well)

El departamento en sí estaba bien, tal como se mostraba en las fotos. Quiero que quede especificado que el mismo NO cuenta con internet, sino que el anfitrión, sugiere tomar un café en el bar de enfrente pedir la contraseña y hacer uso de la red desde el departamento, lo cual me resultó una barbaridad y nunca teníamos señal. La llamamos numerosa cantidad de veces para preguntarle por el wifi y jamás respondía nuestros llamados. La cocina no funcionaba bien, sólo se podía hacer uso de 1 sola olla a inducción, la anfitriona negó que funcionara mal (evidentemente jamás lo usó) mi experiencia coincide con muchos comentarios que veo que el departamento tiene recientemente, de haber leído con mas atención, no lo hubiese alquilado, y sinceramente no lo recomiendo.

Great little flat right in the heart of Soho and at a great price! I highly recommend it.

Tizzy, the host was really helpful and easy to get when I got to the city. The location is good, you are near most of the attractions in Central London, however if you wish to rest then the area is really noisy at night. The apartment is just as seen on the pictures. The kitchen is weel equiped (there's a microwave, a coffee maker, a water boiler, a washing machine - the burner doesn't work). Although it is supposed to offer internet access and TV, the television didn't work (you had to manage to get signal with the antenna - it was impossible). There is NO internet access, the host suggests you cross to the Bar in front of the building to ask for their internet code (I did but the signal and service wasn't good so you couldn't get access anyway). I would say the apartment is good if you take into account what you have to pay per night, London is a really expensive city, staying in this studio is a good deal.

The location and the place are awesome! The host is very helpful and organized everything for us, besides helping with our planning for the city tour! We had only minor issues with the kitchen, but I think it was due to our lack of skills with the electric stoves... we couldn't get any of the stoves to work, but luckily there were two microwaves to come to the rescue! The kettle that one reviewer mentioned was broken is also working perfectly. Recommended!

Tizzy and Lucy are great, very friendly and easy to communicate with. The apartment is small but was everything I needed and the location is fantastic. I had a hard time with the wifi because I only brought my iphone, I would recommend bringing a laptop. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

great flat, great location. had a blast and enjoyed the comfy bed to come home to. Had all the amenities advertised and although a little small i think thats the price you pay for being so central. Thanks for the great stay lucy.

it was a great stay at lucy & tizzy's for 4 nights last week albeit slight noise at night in the living room caused by the bar downstairs. the location is fab, only minutes away from oxford street, leicester & tottenham court! we can save on the tube transportation. overall it was a pleasant stay:)

The apartment is wonderfully centrally located close to most tourist attractions in a lovely neighborhood that has cafe's, restaurants and pubs all over the place. Soho is great. It furthermore has all the amenities you would need for a stay. As other reviewers noted, the apartment is noisy at nights with the crowds going out. It's nothing that can't be helped with earplugs if you are not a deep sleeper or used to noise (I got em for the second night, you should have them beforehand!). Lucy was kind and gave us directions, very lovely stay. Definitely recommendable!

Lucy and Tizzy met us in the apartment although it was late. Everything about apartment was great (a little thing we lacked - more shelves in the bathroom) - we were prepared for noise from the street below and it does't bother us except one night when it was extremely loud. But as we joked in this way we could feal the spirit of the real London life :) The location was perfect for exploring the city but we had too little time (4 days) to see everything we wanted. Anyway we enjoyed every moment of our stay in this wonderful town. Thanks Lucy and Tizzy !

This place was great for a group of people looking to enjoy London nightlife. The place has room for 3 people to comfortably sleep separately as well as all the amenities of a standard apartment. The street activity stays loud into the wee hours of the morning so it's not for the light sleeper but other than that it is a perfect location. We were just a few minutes walk from lots of shopping and theaters. Soho park is directly next to the apartment and made for a nice afternoon spot for leisure drinking (though it is technically not legal, there will be literally dozens of people there doing it and the police just ask you to discard your "empty" cans or return to the pub with your cup of beer when they come through). There is a Tesco (grocery store) 3 minutes walk from the location so you can stay stocked up on anything you need without any hassle. On top of all that, our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Our stay in this apartment in London was great. The Location is fantastic. It's in Soho near pubs and restaurants and not far away from Oxford Street. The accommodation was clean and everything you needed was available. Lucy was very nice and gave us lots of information for sightseeing. We were very pleased all around.

My girlfriend and I were staying in London for a few days with our friends, Nic and Lauren. We were not able to get to the flat until later in the evening, but meeting with Tizzy was very easy, and she did a very good job of orienting us with the apartment and our location within the city. The location is great. Walking distance to Bars, Restaurants and Shopping. You won't have a shortage of things to do around the area. The place is well kept, and there was plenty of space for the 4 of us. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and I plan on giving Lucy and Tizzy a call the next time I visit London!

We had a fantastic stay. The appartment is right at the center of everything you could go for shopping at Oxford str which is 2 blocks away and come back to leave your shoppings, the theaters are a few minutes away. The appartment is very nice a minus is the bed is not very confortable and the noise at night since is above a pub. If you are looking for a place in the center that's it. We would definately come back.

The apartment is in great location, only a few steps from two metro station and resturant,shops, museum ecc.. The staff is always avaiable and friendly. The apartment rooms have everything you need, it's a perfect place for your trip. Maybe in the night there is some confusion that comes from the outside, because there are many pub/disco on the way. However I reccomend this apartment to all those who want to have fun and visit wonderful London without problems!

Lucy is a lovely person I have known her since I was in secondary school. While in central London I stayed at her property and she is still kind, loving, helpful and overly organised as she was in secondary school. The property is centrally located with access to most of the main attractions in London. The property is close to Charing Cross main line station and Tottenham Court Road and Leister Square station there are also several restaurants, bars and shopping. I would definitely recommend Lucy’s property to anyone, the layout is spacious with contemporary furniture and fixtures. In addition the service that I have experience with her is second to none.
