Private Cottage in the Heart of ATX

We had a really good stay at the cottage. It was clean and cozy, and the hosts have a thoughtful folder of maps, things to do, etc. The location is great--we were in a car and it was an easy drive everywhere, and when we took our dog for walks, their immediate neighborhood was safe and interesting to walk in. It's great that they allow pets, too, and Justin encouraged us to leave our dog in their fenced in yard...this was a huge, huge plus. We'd definitely stay here again.

This little cottage was amazing! I wish I could have stayed longer, definitely would stay longer. The little touches really made it, from the breakfast snacks and bottled water to the sample of hair product in the bathroom. Justin and Aleza have definitely gone out of their way to make you feel comfortable in their abode!

The place was really nice! It was a little far from the Austin Convention Center, where were attending a conference, but the walk was about 30min and wasn't a problem, even at like 1am. Justin and Aleza were excellent hosts, and we even washed our clothes partway through! All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very cute place, and decently close to everything. We were especially charmed to find chocolates on our bed and a fridge stocked with beer, water and snacks upon arrival. Though we only spoke with Justin a couple of times and didn't get to meet Aleza, it's clear that they are excellent hosts. Bonus: Adorable, very friendly dogs.

This was the perfect place to stay in Austin. The cottage and the entire backyard are completely enchanting. Justin took great care of us, everything we could possibly think of or need was made readily available. Austin is a beautiful city and staying with Aleza and Justin puts you right in the heart of everything going on. On our first day Justin recommended a restaurant called Tacoba in the neighbourhood, this was our first taste of the amazing food available all over the city. The cottage also boasted some of the best ground coffee we have ever tasted, every morning Steve and I would wake up and brew a pot and sit out on the porch admiring the peach trees while we sipped. Thanks again, we will not soon forget the hospitality and charm you showed us.

If you go to Austin you'd do well to stay with Aleza and Justin. Their cottage is very cozy and clean; they leave yo excellent coffee and breakfast fixings in the cottage frig for the duration of your stay. The cottage is in an up and coming neigborhood in East Austin with great restaurants like Blu Dahlia and one of the friendliest yoga studios I've ever been to,East Side yoga, is just blocks from their place. My wife & I had a wonderful one night stay at Aleza & Justin's cute cottage about 1 mile from downtown. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the mini kitchen was well stocked. It was nice to open the windows and have a cool breeze.

My husband and I stayed at Justin and Aleza's adorable little cottage when we were in Austin for a wedding. Justin couldn't have been more helpful and gracious (Aleza was out of town)--he greeted us with seltzer and beers, gave us suggestions of what to do around the city, and was superchill about logistics. Their puppy is also the cutest ever. The location was perfect for our needs (i.e. a young diverse neighborhood with lots of good food and bars nearby). I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect location in the very center of Central East Austin. I walked to Gourmands for dinner and the purple bean cafe the following day. The guest house is in a great back yard with board walks, fruit trees, and Justin's new project, an Airstream. Aleza and Justin sweat the details and that makes the difference.

Wow! My very first experience with airbnb couldn't have been more positive. Justin and Aleza were responsive, helpful and SO kind. Their cute little cottage in the backyard was the perfect home away from home as we traveled our way across the country. They even welcomed our four-legged friend, which may not be the norm for them. Justin went out of his way to help us out and I couldn't be more grateful. Convenient, clean and quaint I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit Austin.

As a longtime friend of both Justin and Aleza, I can say that they are both warm, kind people. They are as friendly with new folks as they are with their old friends, and are extremely generous people. Whether they are tending the plants in their garden, fashioning chairs out of antique lumber, or stewing up a big pot of soup, they are homegrown, down-to-earth people.

Aleza is awesome, and not just 'cause she married our son, Justin. She's so full of life and fun and you'll love her as much as we do. We've known her since 2000 and we've traveled the world with her and Justin (Asia, Europe, America--she's also been to South America) and you couldn't find a better person to travel with or just have as a companion. She and Justin have lived in Illinois, Thailand, California, and Texas and can tell you lots of fun stuff to do in Austin. You won't find better AirBnB hosts. Full disclosure: Aleza is our favorite daughter-in-law!

I have known Aleza for over a decade and she is a close friend, as well as my sister-in-law. The home she shares with my brother and their high school buddy Jon is as cute, cozy and comfortable as they come! Bright, open and uniquely decorated! I have spent weeks at a time there and I am always made to feel right at home. Aleza is one of the most considerate and thoughtful people that I know, and will make your stay a very enjoyable experience.

Even if you are a seasoned traveller, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is a more natural and gracious host than Aleza, Justin, and Jon. They are kind, fun, and all-around delightful people. We were all buddies in high school and have been tight knit ever since. Staying with them has always been an easy joy for us and I know future visitors will feel the same way. If you like things that are good and awesome, you should stay here! ;)
