What is one to say of a SUPER-HOST??? Would that they might one day reveal their alter-egos, that we might come to find ourselves in their gracious company more often! :) Seriously, Jessica was a phenomenal, open-hearted host & a font of insight into this mystical land of enchantment. If only I'd had a little extra time to take in more of this uniquely invigorating place! I will definitely return one day. The accommodations were of the loveliest & most inspirational sort and I highly recommend them to any and all that are seeking a creative, energetic sanctuary, rich in both character & history, that ultimately encourages you to take your own highly coveted place within it! :D Many thanks!!

The Schoolhouse in Taos was like a winter dreamland. Coming from Phoenix, it was exactly the experience we were looking for. Hospitable hosts. All the comforts of home. Quiet, cozy and within walking distance of most restaurants and sites in town. God, I wish I was back there right now...would and will return.

The first morning was 14 degrees with no hot water. Having to walk out to the bathromm all the time was annoying. The second night could not get connected to the internet even though her husband tried to get it to work it wouldnt. Jessica suggested I go to one of the internet cafe's or they would set me up in a desk in their house to use. This was a little bothersome as well as awkward. I left that night, checked into a hotel. Had warm shower, internet the whole shot. I figured as long as I had to go to an internet cafe I might as well just relocate so I could enjoy mu vacation.

Delightful! And incredibly relaxing stay at the Schoolhouse. It is a fairly good sized room with a fold out futon and queen sized bed, both really comfortable. It also has all you need, some hot plates, dishes and silverware, a minifridge, and a sink. I would say I enjoyed the courtyard the most. It is most spacious and just a place to unwind or even have dinner. The neighbor next door told us the area was an old art gallery, which may or may not be true, but it is quite beautiful and the stay was wonderful. What is even better is that it is literally a small walk to the plaza. I couldn't imagine a better place or a better location.

The Schoolhouse was perfect for our stay in Taos. It was within walking distance to the Plaza and very comfortable. An earlier post mentions lack of running water, but that was not the case with us- the kitchen sink worked fine. The house was very charming and the adobe stays cool even in the summertime. An affordable, cute, fun place to stay in Taos!

We found the little one-room "Schoolhouse" to be charming, authentic and located in an historic section of Taos. The Schoolhouse room itself is very comfortable. The Owner, Jessica Gormley, is generally accommodating and responsive to inquiries, e.g., suggestions for good places to eat dinner and breakfast, but her availability is somewhat limited. Her young children and dog, Honey, are very cute and fun. However, unlike the "Casita" unit next door on the premises, the Schoolhouse's kitchenette is not really set up for any kind of meal or even snack preparation, especially because there is no sink or running water in the room. Also, the bathroom, which in-and-of-itself is fine, is not accessible directly from the Schoolhouse; rather, you have to go outside to get to it, which is somewhat inconvenient. All in all, we enjoyed our stay despite the inconveniences alluded to above. - Lew

We had a wonderful stay at Jade Lily! Exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The house is perfect for 1-2 couples or a family. It was so easy to kayak to the beach (~5 min), which was secluded and fun to explore. The house itself is comfortable and the hot tub is great. We missed the exit off the freeway a few times and getting to the house requires driving down a bumpy dirt road, but we thought it was a fun adventure and got used to it. Jessica was very easy to work with and promptly responded to my emails and questions. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time! Beautiful setting, adequate space for our family of 4. Good location for getting both north and south along the shore. Kilauea has some Yummy restaurants - don't miss the fish market - and the lighthouse is worth a visit.

We stayed at this sweet cottage for a week, and had a super time. It's a perfect place for the non-resort experience. That means: parents sleeping downstairs, 2 kids in the loft above. Single bathroom, no problem. Chickens crowing at all hours, barely audible over the breeze of fans. Modest half-outdoor kitchen, very charming. And also: beautiful huge rustic yard of grass and coconut palms. Nice jog to the utterly unspoiled, gorgeous beach. Come back, and squeeze half a glass of juice from each orange on the tree nearest the kitchen. The yard guy cut us coconut meat. Jessica (host) and Melody (caretaker neighbor) both very friendly. Unless you're looking for something very different, you'll love this place.

What a lovely cottage! Nice location, easy to head north to Hanalei or south to Kapa'a or Poipu. Simple and comfortable furnishings. Nice grounds, and close to a beautiful (if windy and not swim-able) beach. We had a wonderful stay. As another reviewer mentioned, it can be tricky to find. I would call Jessica prior to arrival to get the arrival details sorted. We just kind of showed up at night, and had to cross our fingers we were walking in to the right cottage (which we did...phew!). Overall, this is a fantastic base camp for exploring Kauai.

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon. It is a beautiful space and it felt like paradise. We never met Jessica because she was on vacation but she called us and gave her cell phone number in case we needed anything. A neighbor that helps with the property met us with her dog and she was as sweet as can be. We had fresh fruit from the property and permission to get coconuts. We enjoyed eating outside and looking at the coconut palms and seeing the stars. This was a great place!

The cottage was a perfect getaway for me traveling alone... quiet and serene.. found a lot of inspiration and beauty.. would also be a beautiful getaway for a couple or family... Jessica was friendly and helpful, easy to talk too...

We stayed at the Coco Moon with our two children, five and three years-old. We enjoyed the cottage very much. It was very quiet and private. We enjoyed being able to cook meals in the little kitchen on the Lanai. Our three year old especially liked taking baths in the giant tub and our son liked climbing the ladder to the loft bed. Mahalo.

We loved waking up to the view out the kitchen screen! The cocoanut grove and flowers are beautiful. We had many interesting talks and meals with the neighbors and even had a little campfire under the stars. The location was perfect - away from the crowds in the North and South of the island. This cottage is perfect for 2 and we found it very clean. We would love to stay again. Thank you! Pam Hellmann

Coco Moon is a piece of paradise set against the beautiful, desolate Larsen's Beach. My family and I went to celebrate my 30th and it was more than I had ever expected from this holiday! Each morning we'd rise to the rooster's crow, to listen to the palms sway, as the lovely island breeze supported the various birds to sing their sweet melodies:)The location is absolutely phenomenal and the house is more than accommodating. The road to the property is stunning and the Molo'a fruit stand, off the highway, is one of the best on the island, as is the beach (in relation to its proximity to the house). We explored all sides of the island and feel grateful to have ended up in Kilauea and even more so, to stay at Coco Moon! Thank you Jessica for creating a space for all to enjoy and to Melody for taking such wonderful care of the propert(website hidden)i hou:)

The cottage was in the perfect location for a restful and easy stay on Kauai. It looked exactly like it does on the Airbnb posting. It had everything we needed, got a courtesy check in call shortly after arriving. Had lots of beach toys, and plenty of linens. Very clean and tidy. It was the perfect spot for four night stay. Thank you!!

We (me and two friends) spent a great time (about a week) at this house. The proximity to the beach, the birds in the morning, the whole location which was not too far away from other houses, the road, etc. but which was also remotely enough toactually experience the nature of the island. Additionally there was a breathtaking view (pacific to the left, coconut trees to the right), while the house itself was decorated with so much love and taste – you actually felt that somebody left you a home. Not only just a place to make some money with.
