East Village Cocoon - Queen Bedroom

Great location, super comfortable bed! Dimitri is a lovely man and was a very attentive host, he brought me a blowdryer and spent half the day making sure the internet worked on my computer (he even went and bought a signal booster to make it stronger). Highly recommended!

The view is superb.The local area outside is sketchy but I had no problems. The doormen to the building were nice guys. I never did see Bastien or Jazzwell over the 3 days I spent there. Would like to have had curtains as other tenants are able to look right inside through the window. A working light bulb in the lamp would have helped during the evening. Room was dirty. Looked like the carpet hadn't been vacumed in a month. Only 2 block walk to 125th street metro station which is a express train too, nice. Bed was comfy with nice comforter and clean sheets.

Awesome location and room. Safe neighborhood, even late at night. Everyone was very pleasant and accomodating. I had no towel and host rushed to local store to purchase one. AWESOME! This is an excellent value.

Bastien has become a "host friend" as he has taken some of my guests recently. Bastien is a great guy, always available to work with me and accommodate even very last-minute and one-night reservations which have saved me:)! thanks Bastien and looking forward to doing more business with you. All my guests really liked his place!

Bastien place is pretty nice, It is super clean and the room and bed are very comfy. Loved the view from the terrace and windows. Bestian was very hospitable and friendly. Just a small note about the neighborhood, The location is in harlem so if you are from outside NYC it looks very sketchy on first look but is safe as I learnt during my stay there.

bastien was amazing! he made us feel really welcome and was extremely personable! he was quick to answer any questions we had about the city and checked with us to make sure everything was kosher......also, the view was just amazing...you could see everything! i wwill definitly be staying with him again on my next trip!!!! ttfn see you soon bastiien!!!!!! :)

My husband and I just spent five nights at Bastien's place and truly enjoyed ourselves. We couldn't have been luckier in the location: a 15-minute bus straight from LGA to 125th and Lexington; a 10-minute express subway ride to Times Square; a 10-minute stroll to Central Park reservoir and trails. Oh, and the view! It was better than a postcard. The bed was super comfortable, the rest of the apartment was roomy and kept tidy. The roommates weren't really around much, but when they were, gave great advice about restaurants and things to do. Although we didn't get to see Bastien much, he made every attempt to get together and ensure that we had something to do. In fact, he proved himself hospitable right away by leaving work to meet us at the bus stop and take us to his place. Very pleasant experience overall. I'd definitely recommend Bastien's place!

Bastien probably has the best view in Manhattan. Looking down from the upper, upper east side into downtown at night is really a great view. His room mates are all pleasant and gave great tips on where to go. Very much recommended.

El apartamento estaba situado en una zona muy buena con supermercados 24 h, restaurantes, bares de copas y muy buen ambiente en la calle, De Dimitri lo unico que se puede decir es que a sido un anfitrión excelente, tuvimos un pequeño problema con el apartamento ya que antes de llegar se le inundó, pero Dimitri enseguida nos busco otro apartamento en el que estuvimos dos dias y Dimitri se hizo cargo de todos los gastos extra de transporte. Sobre el apartamento, estuvimos 5 personas, tenia dos habitaciones, un baño con ducha y una cocina comedor equipada bastante amplia,

The apartment was reasonably clean and is in an excellent location. That said, the furnishings are spartan and you can feel the wooden slats beneath the futon bed. The bathroom has a bit of a grimy look.There is no way to keep the room dark in the morning, the place is very basic. The maid arrived with no one telling us she would be coming.

Really nice guy, clean and organised I highly recommend it for those people who is looking for really laid back and nice place to stay.

very nice location, not far from the 1st Avenue station. the flat was clean and well- furnished. 100% recommended!

we had a great time in NYC. the apartment in east village was fantastic + the neighbourhood with all its bars and clubs thrilling. dimitri was a great host and very helpful. we were able to store our bags a bit longer in his private apartment as our flight went off a bit later that day. 5 out of 5 stars

We had great stay in Dimitri's apartment. It might not be very luxurious, but perfect for two couples (I stayed there with my wife and in-laws). We had some initial problems with the Wi-Fi but Dimitri was quick to fix it. The best thing about the place is definitely the location. You have tons of great restaurants and bars just around the corner.

Dear all! This two bedroom flat is a perfect node if you are staying in NY for a while! It is right on the spot in the heart of East Village. Close to almost everything you need! Food stores, restaurants, bars! Even Thompkins square park is VERY close! Feels safe and funny enough it is a lively but still not a noisy neighbourhood as we experienced it! We stayed for three weeks and would have stayed longer if we could have! It is a nice place and also the light in the two bedrooms are really beautiful. There is a small kitchen so we had breakfast and a bite everyday and we also had a little dinner for friends the last night! We will try to come back some day! carina and friends

Jazz has the quintessential new york apt. It has everything you could want, and it is close to all the great restaurants and best night life in new york city. As for a host you could not ask for better, he loves showing people a good time ! I am stoked to have Jazz as a neighbor and friend.

I love Jazz's apartment. It's so cosy and nice and the location is super, right in the middle of the East Village, which of course is the best area on Manhattan! Don't miss the great rooftop. Jazz is also the perfect host, always friendly and nice. You'll have a great NY experience if you stay with him.

Bastien place is just great! The view of the city is SPETACULAR and the apartment is huge! The location is also strategic: steps away from green express line of the subway (and just minutes away from the red) you can be virtually anywhere in minutes, no matter if is east or west side…. His place is very much recommended!
