Our 1st floor gem of a studio apartment is the perfect choice for your New York stay. You will love this quiet apartment with high ceilings and hardwood floors throughout and especially adore our charming fireplace as soon as you step inside. Our 3 large beautiful bay windows accent the space with just the right touch of character. We have air-condition to keep the apt nice and cool.

***Also we just purchased an INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE NEW QUEEN SIZE BED. Cute full bathroom with tub and great water pressure with hot/cold functions. Also plenty of closet space and storage for your stay.

The upper west side is decorated with well-kept tree-lined streets with one brownstone after another, breathtaking old world architecture and pre-war buildings, and, not to mention, countless celebrity sightings, including Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Howard Stern, and Kevin Bacon (who needs 6 degrees of Kevin when you’re right here in his neighborhood).

Just a short walk to the Museum of Natural History on West 81st Street, a street away from the famed Café Lalo, a short walk/subway ride to Lincoln Center and just across the park from The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Only half a block from the B/C trains and the world famous Central Park—easy entrance from our street! The 1 train is very close by on Broadway and only 3 stops from 42nd Street Times Square and the theater district.

We also have fantastic shopping: Century 21, DSW shoes, Trader Joes, Wholefoods, Fairway Market and tons of boutiques all within walking distance.

The apartment is like as the pictures, the neighbourhood is amazing and the subway and central park just round the corner. J and D were available during all our stay. We had a little problem with the Wi-Fi connection and they solved it immediately. Good stay.

Awesome place, Awesome hosts. Perfect location in quite possibly one the coolest neighbourhoods in NYC. The apartment was clean and located right next to Central Park and the subway. I wonder if the rest of my Air BNB experiences will be downhill from here? Thanks again D&J!

The place just looks like the photo, really well situated if you like this area, they let me store my luggage longer the last afternoon, some small things were not perfect like the tv not working in the end but overall it was a nice time, thanks again, Jonathan J.

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Easy access to the Park and all the restaurants on Columbus and Amsterdam. Doug was a good communicator, and got us settled and provided great recommendations for restaurants and logistics.

This was our 2nd time visiting NYC. Our first time we stayed in Midtown. This visit, we decided to stay at J and D's apt. in the UWS. Our first experience with Airbnb. Our stay was perfect. We met our host who was sweet and made us feel comfortable and right at home. She got us settled in and didn't bother us for the rest of the stay. The location of the apt. is phenomenal. A block from a subway, foodie restaurants and you walk out the apt. and central park is in view down the block. The apt. is great, it has all the essentials. There wasn't anything I could complain about. The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get up and sightsee. Staying at J and D's apt. made our trip 100%. We felt more like locals than tourist. We felt safe and welcomed. I would recommend their apt. to anyone trying out that city life.

We had a lovely stay at this studio, which is very well located on a quiet street in the Upper West Side. Close to the subway, nice restaurants, convenience stores and so on, and the hosts are friendly and attentive.

We had a great stay in this cosy apartment! The apartment was quite small, but good value for money and perfect for just 2 of us. The apartment was well equipped, with everything we could have needed provided. Location was great - close to Central Park, and some good cafes and restaurants nearby. Doug gave us some good suggestions on places to eat. Also close to the subway station. The street was quiet and felt very safe. The only negative point was that the apartment was a little bit dusty when we first got there, but Doug kindly came over the next day to resolve this. Doug was a great host - very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had a minor problem with the lock one day, and Doug was over within 10 minutes to come and sort it out! He was also flexible with check-out time for us, which really helped. Overall, we had a great time in NYC, and would recommend the apartment to anyone.

Hi there, (PLEASE HAVE YOUR PICTURE UPLOADED WITH PROFILE COMPLETED BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT STAYING IN OUR HOME)
Welcome to our awesome apartment. We are both creative artists living in NYC. We love to travel but when in New York, we love to experience all the different ethnic cuisines that NYC has to offer. We love to hike and kayak. Jessica is a big runner and spends much of her time running. Doug enjoys live music and can often be found at an outdoor concert.
