Hello!

I have a spare double bedroom in a luxury apartment with it's OWN private bathroom located in a very trendy part of London. The room is fully furnished with a desk and chair, double bed, (there is an extra single bed available as well), builtin wardrobes, chest of drawers, it's own telephone (free international and national phonecalls), and comes with its own brand new bathroom with a glass walkin shower.

The rest of the flat is modern, newly refurbished and renovated with entirely wooden parquet flooring, a large modern kitchen, a large living room with a 42 inch flat screen TV with cable/sky plus satellite and large, new couches to chill out on after a hectic day in London! And of course there is high speed internet access with unlimited downloads.

The location is awesome - a trendy part of London with a lot of actors and musicians living around here. James McAvoy, David Tennant (Dr Who) etc. The apartment is a 5 min walk from loads of bars, awesome restaurants, clubs, shops (you can get some cool bargains here at non-tourist prices), and the major supermarkets. It is also a 5 min walk from the bus stop that takes you directly to the West End, Trafalgar Square King's Cross/St Pancras, Euston and many central tube stations. If you prefer, Highgate station is a 15 min walk away, but the bus is awesome and quick with loudspeakers announcing the stops - and a great way to experience the city. The buses are 24 hours so you can come and go from Leicester Square and the West End at any time of the day or night!

This would suit anyone travelling through London who wants to see a bit of authentic London life with its pubs, bars, people and local living, and still have wicked access to the west end and all the sights. Basically this is where Londoners live!

Rules!? Don't be silly!

Well the only rule really is please no smoking in the apartment. If you need to smoke, please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts in the trash cans.

Please do not slide or move furniture. Feel free to use the armchair in the lounge to make phonecalls but the floors are wooden so please don't slide stuff around...same with wheeling luggage! :)

You are welcome to come and go at any time of the day or night, but if arriving home late at night or in the early hours of the morning, please be sensitive to noise when climbing the stairwell of the building so as not to disturb other residents in other apartments.

Most importantly, make yourself at home!

Rowans place is nice. Its's clean, tidy and presented as you see in the pictures, which with any accommodation isn't always the case. Rowan gives you great instructions so it's like having your own flat. And he's a nice guy too which always helps. I will be staying here again.

Staying with Rowan was great! The apartment and room were comfortable, spacious, and clean. Even before we arrived, Rowan was very helpful and responded promptly and in detail to all my questions. He also gave clear instructions on how to get to his place. It is a bit far from central London but the trip is not hard. Also, there's lots of places to eat and drink in Crouch End. Rowan was very open to giving us recommendations and tips on where to go. He wasn't in very much while we were there but we had a few chats with him and he is a great guy - friendly and easygoing. Overall, a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Rowan's place is a great place to stay for a few days -- relaxing as our last stop on a whirlwind vacation. Never being in London before, a 15 minute bus and you're at the metro with access to everything, and the local neighborhood has some good bars, restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk. At the second store we tried we managed to find an international power adapter pretty easily. Rowan's easy to get along with if you run into him. He'll give you great pointers of things to do. The place is clean and exactly as described on airbnb. We'd stay there again.

We had 4 great days in London. The appartment is nice and clean. Rowan didn't show up but Trude was very nice and a good help. Thanks! There are a lot of nice pubs and shops just a few minutes to walk from the appartement.

Lovely apartment, clean and spacious. Rowan and Trude are very friendly and accommodating. It's a bit further from the nearest tube station (Highgate) than I would have liked - takes about 15 minutes to walk there - but apart from that great place. Thanks!

The appartment is modern and clean. We never met Rowan but Trude is friendly. We didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment but when we were there we had everything we needed. The neighborhood has many kind of shops, restaurants, pubs, and all you may need.
