My aunt and uncle stayed at the beautiful treehouse because it's close to my mom's apartment. They are in their mid 70s and don't speak much English. They very much enjoyed their stay and commented on how comfortable the setup was, how clean everything was, and how nice and kind their hosts were. I'm very thankful that my aunt and uncle had a great first visit to the Bay Area with Susan's great hospitality.

Economical and convenient. Half a block from great eateries. If you have mobility issues this may not work for you as there is s long flight of stairs.

Susan's place is perfect if you're looking to get to know Oakland's charming neighborhoods. Piedmont Ave. is full of great shops and restaurants, as are nearby neighborhoods like Temescal and Grand Lake. The apartment is clean and comfortable and Susan and Mark are gracious hosts. Would certainly recommend staying with them!

This place is located close to local restaurants and shops and Kaiser (all walkable). It's in a cute neighborhood and you feel like you are living like a local. There is a bit of a walk to the nearest BART station (I wouldn't feel comfortable making that walk at night by myself). Uber/Lyft to downtown Oakland is not bad. The host was very helpful as far as having materials ready about "Things-To-Do" and public transit. Very friendly.

Susan was a responsive and accommodating hostess. Her place is just as the listing describes. It's less than a block away from the commercial district of Piedmont Ave. with many shops, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. The place itself was clean, quiet, and well equipped. All in all, had a great stay.

We love living in Oakland and have had great experiences both hosting and being hosted through airbnb. I am the director of undergraduate advising at a small college at UC Berkeley and Mark is an interfaith hospice chaplain and professional photographer.
