  • The country location and remodeled farm house are charming. Pat is a friendly & helpful hostess and you'll feel like you have made a friend at the end of the visit. The breakfasts are AMAZING. Pat loves to cook and the house is filled with wonderful aromas. We enjoyed sitting by her creek and watching the swallows, red winged blackbirds and geese. Highly recommend.

  • Pat is the nicest person we have ever stayed with. Her house is cozy and her food is to die for! We wished we were staying more than one night. The memory of her breakfast sweet buns will remain with us always.

Pat was a wonderful hostess and the room was larger and lovelier than we expected. We are sorry we couldn't visit longer! We were attending a weekend conference in Olympia, and Pat's home was 10 minutes away from downtown, yet so quiet and rural. We really appreciated having a nice respite from the crowds. Breakfast was a feast, and Pat's scones were wonderful, as was the rest of the meal. We really enjoyed talking with Pat and hope to visit again.

Pat was very nice but had something to do that morning so the breakfast was cold. Place was a bit chilly.

  • Pat's house is amazing! My husband and I hardly ever sleep well when we're out of the house, but it was so quiet, comfortable, and dark in the room at night that neither of us had any problems getting to sleep. In fact, my husband said it was the best night's sleep he'd had in quite some time! My favorite part, however, was the breakfast. Pat made us scones that were simply to DIE for, plus homemade bread, eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage. We definitely weren't hungry after that :-) Over all, Pat is simply the best host we could have ever asked for. She definitely set the bar pretty darn high for future vacations! Thank you so much, Pat, for an amazing stay!

  • My friend's 10 year old daughter and I stayed at Pat's home and we had a wonderful experience. Over the years I have stayed at numerous Air B&B places, however Pats was by far the best. I would recommend her home to anyone.

  • We stayed for just one night, and wished we could have stayed longer. Pat was very friendly and provided everything we needed without our having to ask. There was a fire in the fireplace, the room was clean and cozy, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was very tasty. Everything the other guests wrote about this place is true. It was our first experience with Airbnb and it will be tough to match it! We highly recommend "Farm House."

  • I don't think it's possible to gush enough about how hospitable, welcoming, nurturing, friendly and just generally fabulous is the lovable Pat Hains! She goes way above and beyond in providing a wonderful stay. If you're an ornery recluse who wants to be left alone, steer clear! This house is brimming with hospitality and love -- then again, maybe this'll be just the thing you need to change up those crankypants! Start baking bread! In fact, I might even return to take one of those bread baking courses, I'm terrible in the kitchen! Bottom line: Stay with Pat, down on the Farm, you won't be disappointed. (Unless you don't like farm houses, or company)

  • You couldn’t ask for a better host than Pat! My husband, my son, and I were in Washington to visit my brother at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Pat not only made us feel right at home, but extended the welcome to our whole family (Pat: Ben is still beaming about the Nutella). We had read all the great reviews and arrived hoping for a nice, cozy room and a tasty breakfast the first morning of our stay. What we got was sooo much more. The Hains House turned out to be the perfect home base for a very special family reunion. Pat went out of her way to delight us every morning with her baking talents. One morning we got fresh-baked scones; another we were treated to cinnamon rolls, fresh baked bread, and homemade pear sauce; yet another we sat next to the fireplace as we enjoyed Belgian waffles with all the fixings… We had so much fun spending time chatting with Pat and finding out a little about the history of The Hains House, and we especially enjoyed making pizzas in the brick oven. We chose The Hains House hoping for an affordable place to stay while visiting with family before my brother deployed to Afghanistan. Pat worked her magic and helped us make some absolutely precious family memories.

  • Thank goodness for Pat and airbnb.com!! I went up to Olympia for training in SRT and had to be up there for 10 days. We were looking for a place that was relaxing and peaceful and we got that staying with Pat and much more. She made the most amazing breads and sweets and shared her vast knowledge and skill as well. Her breakfasts were always yummy and we got to share some amazing meals together too. She fired up her wood burning oven & made pizza for us one night and thank goodness for leftovers! My husband had the munchies late night and it was fantastic reheated. Staying with Pat is like staying with family you truly like! She's a lovely person and a wonderful host. We miss her! But know that we'll see her soon.
