good price for the area, nice for groups that need a convenient place to stay for a few nights on a budget. Beds not terribly comfortable, but functional for the couple days we were staying. Very close to atv rental places and sand dunes. Alana was very responsive and accommodating.

My family (5 adults, one toddler, one baby) recently stayed at Alana's for spring break. She was very responsive and made sure that everything was in order. She even dropped off extra hand towels and glasses when she realized those things were missing. There is an upstairs neighbor that we never saw or heard, so you really have no interaction with him/her. So I give 5 stars for Alana! As other reviewers have mentioned, the place is dated: furniture is old, one bed has a serious spring issues (but the other beds were good, just a bit squeaky), carpets probably could be replaced. But it has everything you need to be comfortable. The kitchen/dining area is the largest, and it looks like it is the newest. I would suggest some updating, but I also understand that I got what I paid for. The affordable price matters more to me than these things. The location: I didn't actually walk to the beach, but my mother said it's more than a 5 minute walk, and it's not obvious how to get to the beach (through some trees, I think). And once you do get there, it's dunes, which is great if you are going ATV-ing. We weren't, so we didn't end up going to that beach and instead chose to drive somewhere else. As someone else mentioned, it was cold in the morning (heat works well, almost too well, in the main bedroom), so make sure you bring sweats and socks for the night/early morning. And bugs pray if you are going to be outside!

Alana's house was located in very convenient place--right next to Pismo and ATV dunes which was why we booked it. It was definitely one of the cheaper options around the area, so don't expect luxury but the place gets the job done without the frills. Parking was easy for 4-5 cars in the private driveway. Beware of the occupancy tax and get cash to leave before you go.

Response from Alana:
Thank you Sheri. I'm glad you enjoyed your time here. The lodging tax is posted in the airbnb listing that is read before anyone books. I am reminding people ahead of time. All the linens are cleaned and I will make sure extra linens are easy to find for larger groups! Thank you again! Warmly, Alana

Great place that accommodated all of us. The round dining table was awesome that seated all 10 of us. The roof top deck had beautiful views.

My host was very welcoming. I knew from a friend the area was close to the oceano dunes. The neighborhood is ok. Working class people. Very nice and helpful.

Alana was very kind and responsive. She texted back immediately when I had a question, and was flexible with our needs. The house wasn't fancy but was sufficient for our needs as we really just needed beds to sleep in. The living area and second bedroom are quite small, and like other reviewers mentioned the heating only works in the master bedroom, there is a space heater that we used for the small bedroom but the rest of the house was very cold.
