Cozy, private studio in eclectic but clean 1908 historic building that was originally a boarding house. The building is not a permanent residence to anyone but is solely a traveler's hotel. This room with a full size (double) bed is on the top (2nd) floor and has wood floors, paneled walls and high ceilings. There is a sink in this room so you don't have to go down the hall to brush your teeth. You can stay to yourself and not mingle if you don't want to or be social and interact, either is totally fine. It is perfect for one person or a couple or a person traveling with a child . The living room (with fireplace) is open for sharing and the bath is down the wide hallway. Not a party house. Great for personal retreat, a business trip or base from which to explore. There is a charming balcony in the trees to enjoy; overlooking the sidewalk and urban bike traffic.
This cozy studio is in the Buckman neighborhood in Inner Southeast Portland. It's just minutes walk to the river, downtown, Hawthorne & Belmont Street. An artistic, eclectic neighborhood with lots of trees & bicycles and people buzzing. Coffee shops, wine bars, food carts, vintage stores, indie movie houses. Please check out location reviews for my other listing at Buckman Guest House (#28078) as this location is right around the block.
Bike parking and laundry in the basement. Street parking.
Would love to have you come and stay. Sheila
