  The house is very nice and clean, there are computers in the rooms with wireless internet. The kitchen has all equipment. The owners are very kind and helpful. It´s in a quiet neighborhood. It´s easy to get to the downtown. You just take a bus, it´s a minute walk from the house and in half an hour you are in the downtown. The bus goes every 10 min. I can recommend this place.

  I stayed at Mai's for two weeks upon first arriving in Vancouver. It served as a great temporary home as I became acquainted with the city. Although not in the heart of the city, the house is near numerous bus lines to downtown. The home is lovely, with all the amenities you could need. And the hosts were sweet, gracious and super helpful.

  I stayed at Mai's after arriving in BC. The house is really nice and clean. I had my own single room which was a luxury!! It's a bit out of town, but you have busses and skytrain nearby, so it's pretty easy to get into town! I would definitely recommend it to other people!!

  Good value for the price. There can be many renters staying there at the same time, as they have 10 rooms that they rent out. So be prepared that you might have to be a little flexible when using the common areas. Having a kitchen we can use helped us save some money by not having to eat out for every meal, but you have to buy your own basic pantry items like oil, salt and pepper. Everyone was good at cleaning up after themselves most of the time during our stay, but I would recommend rewashing the dishes and cutlery before using them. For some reason there were people playing with fire crackers in the park beside the house every night of our stay. It's quite loud if you like to sleep with the windows open. Overall a good experience.

  My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Mai Lodging. One point to note is, there was no clarity on whether Mai resides in the house until we arrived. She does not, which means that she will meet and greet you however, we had no phone while travelling around Canada which meant we had to find a place to call from get off the highway park up and call to advise we would be along shortly. This is fine alot of the time however we were a little delayed and felt bad we had left the host waiting for about 20 minutes. A suggestion is that Mai could include from now on that they require a time of arrival and maybe a little more clarity to advise they do not reside on the property, just to save on any inconvenience. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay, the house is lovely and is on a quiet street. It is close to a few methods of transport and we never had any issues getting in and out of downtown. There is also free parking which is great if you have a car while travelling.

  There are a number of rooms available in this house. I had the queen-size bed which is downstairs. This bedroom also had a small sitting area attached and a private entry. (The other rooms had a common entry.) The place is very clean and tidy with good facilities. It's also very close to public transport, shops etc. The only downside was that this room was downstairs of the upstairs lounge and at night-time and early in the morning it was quite noisy from the people upstairs walking around and talking. Also the water pipes seem to run through the wall of the bedroom and they were also quite noisy.

  The room was very clean and has all the amenities one needs - like a tv with cable , computer with internet and a small fridge. Location is also very convenient along Kingsway. Mai was very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend her place.

  Mai Lodging is very clean. It is also pretty quiet. Mai and her husband were friendly and kind. Yes, I would definitely stay there again.

  We got a room in the basement of the house but was spotless with a acces shower shared with other guests We simply regret a lack of communication about the visit of the house. We were not invited to a tour of the places so we had the impression of being in a hotel. We were indeed looking to feel in a real vancouver house atmosphere. Nevertheless, the price is unbeatable value for this BnB geust house !!

  Home was very clean and i felt very welcomed. It was definitely better than my last hotel stay in Vancouver. The other housemates were also polite and i had no problems at all. The host was very courteous and i would definitely stay again.

  This place was great! A great deal. Spacious rooms and great rainfall showerheads. Also, be sure to try Mui Ngo Gai, just a block away at Kingsway and Victoria. It has great hours, friendly service, and delicious, affordable food.
