I am leaving Katie and David's place tonight, after staying here for a week. I will miss the apartment - Katie and David have done everything possible to make it an interesting, gorgeous space - I'm always noticing new details. The apartment was quiet, the loft very comfortable, and Katie and David friendly, caring hosts who were also great at communicating with me prior to my arrival. Thankyou both. And Townes is a sweetheart! Thoroughly recommended.

This was the first time I used Airbnb. I chose Kati & David based upon (first) their positive reviews and (second) their location. I would agree with all the other folks who've stayed with them: Katie & David are great hosts (!!), friendly, flexible and just darn nice people! But I sensed that even before meeting them. The moment I was confirmed they both communicated with me as well with each other (they always cc'ed each other in their emails to me). They helped me with the little things that travellers need to know prior to a trip in an unfamiliar place (e.g. Bart stations, parking, rental cars, etc.) Their space was homey and refreshing; their sitting room, bathed in natural sunlight, was a pleasure to view and to sit in. My bedroom was comfortable, clean and quiet. Unlike the city noise one would hear at a hotel on Market St & Fourth, the space was fairly quiet and insulated from the traffic and city noise. Both Katie & David chatted with me a bit, and gave me some hints about exploring the area. And when I forgot my cell phone at their place on the day I departed for the airport, they promptly sent it back to me. Yes, I would recommend anyone staying with Katie & David.

I had a great time at Katie and David's. We found we had a lot in common and they were very accommodating hosts. Their loft is comfortable and conveniently located, and they were able to answer all my questions regarding driving routes and places to eat. Great spot for a stay in SF.

I really enjoyed staying at Katie and David’s place. Even before my arrival, they were very helpful in providing detailed directions to the loft as well as both of their phone numbers. Katie was kind enough to arrange a parking spot for me when I had a rental car for one night. David had great local suggestions, including a tip to hike up to the top of Bernal Heights Park, which I did early my first morning there. It was great exercise and provided an excellent perspective from which both the Golden Gate and Oakland Bay Bridges could be seen in the distance. David not only loaned me maps for a day trip to Sonoma, but also went the extra mile to locate and print out a detailed map of my exact destination (which I had forgotten to do before the trip). He also offered valuable advice about the local area, as well as my best options for walking from their place to the Castro, Haight/Ashbury and Golden Gate Park, etc. The loft is comfortable and spacious and I felt right at home – and its location makes it a great base of operations. The only sad note was that Katie (and Townes) were working remotely during my stay, so I never had a chance to meet them – maybe next time! Thanks again for such gracious hospitality!

We were so happy we found Katie and David. They have an awesome loft and were super sweet (so was Townes the dog). They helped us with everything we needed whether it be directions, or cab companies' numbers or finding the best/closest bar or reserving a parking spot. The bed was comfy. The price was right. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Katie and David were really lovely and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the area, and willing to give advice and help. There were no issues using a shared bathroom, and I had plenty of privacy in my room. The apartment really is beautiful, and inspiring. They are really close to the BART and MUNI stops too. I hope I get to come back to San Francisco and stay again.

Katie and David were unbelievably welcoming (as was their dog!), the area is really bustling and vibrant and Katie's recommendations were spot on. Fantastic apartment, lovely people and great location, what more could you want...!

Lovely building and great people, you'll get to know what's going on in the city and be ideally located in the mission just a few blocks from the subway.

Katie is one of the kindest, most generous, and integrous people I know. It would be an honor to crash on her floor any time.

Inhabited by a uniquely interesting couple this loft affords not only a comfortable stay, but an aesthetically compelling environment. Great care has been taken to ensure that there is not a single visible object that does not contribute to the overall beauty and atmosphere of the space. Plus, there's an absurdly cute dog!

It's a great place to stay. Incredibly comfortable bed, better than anything you'll sleep on at a hotel, and our dog makes the visit entirely worth while.

Katie is the utmost gracious hostess. She has created an atmosphere which is not only pleasant but cozy and dreamy. The neighborhood is fantastic and accessible, you will feel like you've had a mini-vacation in refreshingly creative space.

Nesting in Katie's cozy urban loft is one of my favorite bay area activities. This dwelling is always clean and furnished to impeccable taste. Excellent sleep, loving canine, effervescent conversation. What else are you looking for!?
