The Tiny Fern Forest Treehouse

Before embarking on our journey to the treehouse, I wondered how a place could have SO many incredible reviews. Now, I know why, and am so grateful to get to write one of my own. Words truly cannot do justice to this place - this experience. From the moment we pulled up the long, winding driveway to H. and Ellie's house and saw the little treehouse, illuminated by Christmas lights in the distance, we were in love. The treehouse itself is enough to fill you to the brim with joy! But add in the serene wilderness, the kind and thoughtful hosts, the absolutely perfect breakfasts... I don't know that we have ever had such a wonderful weekend. It truly is magic, up there on those 4 maples. Thank you, H. and Ellie, for helping us create a magical memory to put in the books.

Our stay at the Fern Forest Treehouse exceeded our expectations! We were warmly greeted by Harrison and Ellie, offered wine/beer, some snacks and had a wonderful conversation with them. They are great people that have a gift of making their guests feel relaxed and right at home. They even made sure our beloved dog was comfortable :) The treehouse was cozy and very warm ( we stayed in the middle of January) and was comfortable for the three of us. Every morning Harrison and Ellie had a warm, hearty breakfast waiting for us. Homemade scones, eggs, pancakes, homemade granola, fruit, etc......so delicious!! We can't wait to go back! Thank you so much Harrison and Ellie!!!

My stay at the Fern Forest Treehouse was excellent. My friend and I only stayed one night, but we both wish we stayed longer! Harrison and Ellie are great hosts. We both felt very comfortable and welcomed. The treehouse was cozy. Breakfast was amazing! I will definitely be returning.

Had a great time at the treehouse. Ellie and Harrison were awesome hosts with lots of helpful recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was amazing every morning. Treehouse was cozy even as temperatures dropped to below zero at night. Definitely want to come back as two nights was not enough.

Had a wonderful time in the Treehouse even during the bad weather. Our breakfast was great and plentiful. Harrison & Ellie were very nice, friendly and accommedating. Great views and a unique adventure.

The Fern Forest Treehouse was a wonderful experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ellie and Harrison were delightful and couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating hosts! We enjoyed having the opportunity to stay in the tree house, get to know Ellie and Harrison a bit, and enjoy the fall foliage. Harrison's pancakes were awesome. We hope to return!

The treehouse was the best!!! Cozy and comfortable. We are already planning to go back. One night was not enough! H and Ellie were fabulous hosts and immediate friends. The breakfast was superior, loved Ellie's home made granola . The whole experience left us happy. Thank you so much for making available such a wonderful experience!!.

Our stay at the treehouse was magical! It was far more than either my friend or myself had expected. The house is situated in the most picturesque mountain town in Vermont. The treehouse itself was beautifully built and felt more like a comfy cabin in a tree than a treehouse. Harry and Ellie were incredibly sweet and gracious hosts who really went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Harry made us the best breakfast we've had on our trip! Lots of fruit, scones, yogurt, coffee, and omelets. Delicious! If you're debating staying in the treehouse, trust us, you really should. It was such a fun adventure, I wish we could have stayed there a whole week!

Ellie and H we would like to thank you for such a great time during our stay at the Tree House. The breakfast on both days was excellent and I might add a huge variety of breakfast food ranging from home made granola (delicious), fresh fruits, egg omelets, muffins, scones, Greek yogurt, waffle, bacon, Canadian bacon and juice with the “best coffee I’ve had in years”. The Tree House was perfect. We loved the layout; it was comfortable and just so relaxing. The first night was raining out and the sound inside the Tree House from the rain made the experience even that much better. Ellie and H made you feel welcomed and had so many great recommendations to visit places around the area. H. made us reservations for dinner at the Bobcat Café for Friday evening; our table was ready on time and the food was very good along with the service. I highly recommend the Fern Forest Tree House for that once in a life time experience. Bring your appetite and share your stories with Ellie and H. You’ll have a fun time. Tim & Ginny Mac

This was the perfect getaway! So peaceful& calm, we didn't want to leave it! H & Ellie, you're the kind of people we wish were our neighbors! (Ellie, hope to see a write-up in the New York Times in the near future!)

Amazing! Incredibly nice place, and an even nicer host. I had car trouble, so he came and met me and helped me find a garage close by. I highly recommend staying with Harrison next time you're in Burlington.

Harrison was a great host. The condo was very clean, lovely, and in the best location! We loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time in VT and the apartment was perfect and close to everything. Harrison was UNBELIEVABLY accommodating after myriad traveling complications on our end, and we finally made it to the apartment to find flowers, sweets, and treats waiting for us. It was a lovely experience.

The apartment was very conveniently located. It is very small but efficiently planned, with a full kitchen. There is a nice porch too.

Harry was a superb host! He was thoughtful and helpful in every way. We *loved* the apartment and immediately felt at home. Harry even brought us a bouquet of Vermont wildflowers to welcome us. A wonderful getaway with a great host - highly recommended! :-)

I had a wonderful time at the downtown condo. Very close to everything, parking and even coffee for the next morning. I will be back!

The condo is delightful! It is steps away from the restaurants and shops downtown, and the waterfront. The perfect size for a weekend getaway or for business, it is light, cheerful and comfortable. I will definitely stay again. The owner, Harrison, picked me up from the airport, and left me cookies, OJ, and all the necessities one would expect from a hotel. Enjoy!!
