Slice of Brooklyn (Park Slope)

We (girlfriend and I) attended a 3 day conference in Brooklyn and took a few days extra for sight-seeying. Christine's place was near the venue so the location was perfect. Especially since Park Slope is a nice area with some very delicious restaurants on or near 5th Avenue. We will miss our morning cup of coffee at Gorilla's. The room was clean and Christine let us use her computer for planning our trips. Meowsy the cat was always happy to see us. No noisy airco, no carpet smelling rooms like you often get in hotels. Good value for money.

We will likely be amongst the last guests in the appartment as Christine is moving in July. We stayed 7 nights at Christine's place. The appartment is well-located, spacious, and handy. We found the pillows a bit too hard, and the building works just across the street prevented us from sleeping long mornings. Nevertheless, the proximity of the 5th Avenue with its numerous lovely bagel & coffee shops made us forget these little inconveniences. That was a very good first Airbnb experience, still a little more of "hello, how was you day?" would have helped us to feel more at ease in someone else's place. This does not take away the fact that Christine is a helpful host.

Christine is a caring and good host. She is very very helpful. She provided us with all the information all about NYC. Food, shops, groceries, resto, transportation, city highlights... She wasn't there when we stayed at her place last Dec but she has prepared everything for us, from mailing the house keys and etc. Her place is a bit dirty when we came (maybe because she was on holiday at that time) so we need to clean a bit here and there. But the room was great. Even without the wifi, the desktop computer that she has provided in the bedroom helped us a lot. She stays in a very good location because only few blocks from the subway (and it's a main subway) so it's easy for us to go anywhere... and it's a safe neighborhood. My advice... stay at her place, you will feel very comfy, easy and secure in NYC... For sure I will stay at her place again if i have a chance to visit NYC again.

IF you prefer a calm and meditative space... IF you desire maximum walkability to subways, shopping resturants, and entertainment venues.... IF you prefer your hosts to be intuitive to how much attention you need or don't need... then Christine's place is just the place for you! I stayed in Christine's beautiful,clean, calm and relaxing bedroom for a weeks stay while in town for job related business. The apartment is right across from a construction site, but there are double paned windows, so it was never very loud..not enough to wake me up on the days I wanted to sleep in...in fact I'd say the one draw back is her bed was so cozy and comfortable, I ended up sleeping in until noon one day when I had planned to get up early and do some exploring! For walkers...the location could not be more perfect! You can within 5 minuets get to the D express train which will take you into Manhattan, and a few miutes more takes you to the B,Q,N,R,2,3,4,5 and the LIRR. I walked to BAM in 10 minuets (with stopping and asking for directions), and Fort Green was an easy 15 minuet walk. Her street is intersected by 5th Ave, which is a long strip of interesting boutiques, resturants,bars and coffee houses...the truly best coffee house, Gorilla Coffee, is right down the block. Long story short...I recommend without reservation Chistine's purple oasis!

Everthing was great, location, host, Mr. Meowsy and price! Was in town for a wedding and most everyone was staying further away, paying dble, had tiny rooms and wasn't in the best of neighborhoods. Needless to say... they were all jealous! Would definitely recommend!

Great location, perfect host, comfortable room, comfortable division of space in the apartment, privacy, easy walk to major subway hub, parked my car right outside all weekend. I didn't want to leave and would not hesitate to rent from Christine again.

I can strongly recommend to stay at Christine's place. She was very helpful at all times and she has a fantastic taste to decorate her apartment. The place is very centrally located in Brooklyn with all subway lines in close walking distance. A little bit annoying was the morning noise from the construction site front door but I am anyway a "early bird" and were is so much to explore in the city so that getting up early is a must! Christine's apartment was great! Clean comfortable eclectic and spacious bedroom. Also located in a very safe neighborhood. We only stayed a couple of nights for a wedding, but felt right at home. I would definitely recommend her place.

A neighborhood in the midst of renewal, and close to a major subway stop. Firm bed and Internet access in a clean room. The AC came in handy in August. Suggestion: set up the computer to automatically clear search and browse history after every use, for every guest.

Great place, great neighbourhood and we sure did love your cat! everything was easy going and even though it was 106°F outdide, we had a great time.

I had the best 5 days in NYC and Christine was a fantastic host! Great location, safe neighborhood, cute kitty and the couch was super comfy! Can't wait for my next trip to NYC!

Nice little divider curtain, full access to shower and kitchen, and had pretty much the whole place to myself... it was as if I was borrowing a friend's apartment for the week. Great part of Brookln, within walkin distance to the bridge and Greenwood cemetary. Five blocks from the subway. Perfect! I was also free to contact her at any time with any questions. A fantastic experience.

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, hassle-free stay in Brooklyn this is your place. Christine is a wonderful host! You can't beat the price and the close access to the subway is a BIG +

Location, Location, and Location. This is the one. I have been going to NYC every summer for a board meeting. This apt is one of the best I have stayed at recently for many reasons including the great location to my meeting. There is an excellent coffee shop around the corner, easy access to the subway, and Christine is a great hostess! I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Christine, I'll be back!

Great location, nice area with many bars, restaurants, shops, just few blocks to the subway (many lines and a train) and to the BAM cinema theatre. The apartment is nice, and the sofa really comfortable! Christine is kind, helpful and respectful of your privacy. And Meowsy is so lovely! I stayed for a week and I highly recommend Christine’s place.

Very nice place for stay! Great location, easy access to Manhattan and JFK. Nice area, safe district, many shops for any taste. Christine is super host! Very helpful, very welcome, respect your privacy and Mr.Meowsy makes you feel like home, sweet home. High recommend this place!
