About this listing

This is an ideal place to get away for a health-conscious holiday or a longer-term stay for healing, rejuvenation, personal retreat or quiet time. Short and long-term stays are welcome.
Located alongside the Pavana Resort, Chiang Mai.

The space

This elegant newly renovated two-story villa is situated alongside one of Thailand's top Health/Wellness Spas.

It includes a master bedroom with king-size bed, 1 full bathroom upstairs, 1 half bathroom downstairs, built-in wardrobe, open concept living room/kitchen and upper and lower outdoor balconies with spectacular views.

The villa comes fully furnished, including a washing machine, refrigerator/freezer, various appliances, king size bed and much more.

It is located at the end of a row of three other villas with the majority of windows facing south, allowing plenty of natural sunlight and the living room has elegant sheer curtains to provide privacy while letting in the light of day. Due to its proximity to the landscape and other villas, it provides more privacy than any other 1-bedroom villa.

Nestled in the gentle rolling hills of a private gated and secure community among a rural village in Mae Rim District, it is just a 30 minute drive to downtown Chiang Mai.

Ideal for 1-2 people, but could handle a third person on the couch short-term.

I live in my home when it is not rented, so it is well cared for and equipped with most conveniences of a real home that you might need. Many other wonderful upgrades exist to facilitate comfort and convenience.

The Resort is renowned for their longevity, detox and weight loss programs.

This is such a delightful home-away-from-home in a magically rural area just 40 minutes drive from the excitement and vitality of Chiang Mai. It is far better than staying at a hotel, yet very reasonably priced. The one-bedroom, two-bathrooms detached residence is located on the Pavana Spa Resort, which is loaded with marvelous health benefits such as a vegetarian restaurant, spa/massage facilities, and wonderful country walks. Trips can easily be made to the nearby Elephant Parks, Tiger Kingdom and Insect World. You definitely need to stay here.

Our family (2 adults and a 3-year-old) had a wonderful 8 days at the Steven's villa. Steven was a fantastic host. He was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The villa was exactly as described and was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed our stay and the resort had everything we needed. It was wonderful to get away from the busy city and the resort was beautiful and peaceful. The amenities were great, the staff was amazing, and the restaurant was very good. We will definitely stay at Steven's villa again if we return to the Chiang Mai area. It was lovely.

We are a couple with a 2 year old toddler and we really had a relaxing week over Christmas at Steve's villa. We also enjoyed learning about the wellness centre and spa. Nearly all our meals were at the centre's restaurant that is really 5 minutes away on foot. Very yummy healthy food and menu extensive enough to gave a good variety for a week's stay. There are bike trails, nice walks, and interesting programs at the centre, yoga sessions and a full spa. We could not take advantage of everything, we were certainly not bored. For any other families with a young child considering staying here: the villa is not equipped with baby gear, so we brought our own baby travel cot and a Mobiseat. The spiral staircase is a hazard for a young child so one must be vigilant. The one bedroom is large enough to fit the baby cot and is furnished with good blackout curtains. We'd gladly come back to stay again. Thank you Steve for the good communication and information for our stay.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at the spa resort and I have to say that Steven's villa is stunning. It has everything you need; plenty of kitchen accessories to cook and store your food, 2 nice balconies, a very comfortable bed, beautiful decor, internet, etc! The resort itself offers a variety of meditation, yoga classes and many are complimentary. They even have planned activities for guests such as walking and biking group excursions. The resort is located outside of Chiang Mai but they offer a free shuttle 3 times per week which makes going to the city very accessible. The pools are beautiful and the restaurant offers incredible meals and deserts - especially the fruit softy! This is the place to stay in the area of Chiang Mai!!

The villa and the spa are beautiful. Steven has the best spot, right on the end of the row, and just steps from the pool ( which was very nice and never crowded, mostly I had it to myself) and the restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxed and private, and the spa options for meditation, yoga, cooking classes and massage can keep you occupied if you want. I often borrowed a spa bike and went for little bike rides around town. I would recommend bringing some groceries since the only place to really eat is the spa restaurant. Although the food is great its nice to prepare some things in the house. There are little shops for some drinks and snacks, but for better groceries its best to go to Chiang Mai. (Mai Rim is closer but I never went for groceries there,) There is no coffee pot, however, I bought a little French press coffee maker which worked nicely. There is a hot plate, fridge, stove. No microwave but I reheated on the hot plate. You can get a large jug of drinking water for around 45 THB. I used two in one month and I drink a lot of water. Laundry at the spa is very expensive, but there is laundry available outside the resort. Here clothes are air dried, and not equipped for special fabrics. Steven's place is very clean and comfortable. The bedroom is upstairs and the stairs are steep and might be difficult for someone with disability. Overall I really enjoyed the house and spa and hope to visit again.

Oh where do I begin?!! This was my first trip to Thailand, so I didn't have huge expectations. Prior to staying at Steve's place, we stayed 10 days at a 4-star hotel, so needless to say we were spoiled. Finding the Villa was initially a bit challenging, as it's located north of Chiang Mai and close to the mountains. To say that the location was absolutely stunning and beautiful is an understatement. Amazing views and all the quiet and comfort one needs. The Villa was spotless and clearly well taken care of. Steve is the most awesome host. We ended up becoming close friends during our stay. He was very attentive to our every need, and always quick to assist if we needed help with anything. I HIGHLY recommend staying at the Villa and getting the quiet "getting away from it all" experience we all require. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!!
