  • Paddy's home is charming and she is a very gracious host. She was kind enough to walk me around the neighborhood and make me feel at home. At first I thought the location was a bit far from downtown, but there's a bus route that is a mere 2-blocks from her house and it takes all of 10-minutes to get to The Capital. Biking in the area is great too; it's about a 15-minute bike ride to/from Downtown. Paddy was kind enough to drive me to a bike rental shop. The neighborhood is a bit eclectic with a mixture of Austin locals, artists and activists. I was fortunate to be there the same weekend as East Austin Studio Tours (EAST), which gave me a chance to explore that section of Austin. Paddy & I went to an outdoor performance that was a few blocks from her home, which was fantastic. PS: Diego is a cutie.

  • Paddy was very professional but also friendly. The house was lovely, the location was really perfect, and her dog Diego is very cute.

  • Very nice, took me to the co-op healthy grocery and gave rides when possible. Has a sweet little dog and a lovely home to share.

  • Groups: University Texas at Austin, Yoga
  • School: University of Texas at Austin, Southwest Acupuncture College,
  • Work: Doctor of Oriental Medicine
  • About: I am a long time resident of Austin. Some of my interests include gardening, meditation, swing dance, biking, hiking and finding ways to leave a small footprint on the planet. I have a small dog, Diego, who is sweet, energetic and friendly. If you don't care for dogs close up, this may not be the best option for you, UNLESS you are renting the entire house. During the week, the two front rooms of the house are treatment spaces and I offer Oriental Medicine: acupuncture, herbs, nutrition and Asian bodywork therapy. One room is easily converted into a bedroom with a new double futon. If you're interested in quality professional massage, acupuncture & herbal therapy, it may be possible to arrange this "in house" with a little advance notice. Austin offers many fun and unique things to do year round. Some events, like Austin City Limits and SXSW, leave many folks with nowhere to stay as hotels tend to book up. You might enjoy staying in a quiet, home environment and save a little money cooking some of your meals with a more flexible check in and check out time.
