[Venice] 1Bedroom, Treviso

Marco has a beautiful, clean apartment with nice kitchen and washer/dryer. Marco was very kind, speaks good english, and will give you a ride to the Treviso train station in the mornings around nine. The last bus to Paese is around 8:30pm so you need to catch the last train from Venezia to Treviso by 7 or 7:30 pm. You also need your own phone and computer. He gave me a ride home when I once missed the last bus to Paese . Marco works in the day and is often out late in the evenings so I did not see him much. He took me out for a very nice dinner with his friend to a special town one night and that is a special memory for me. It takes about 3 hours to get to the Venice Marco Polo airport by bus, then train and then bus again, so go early. A great place to stay if you are on a low budget. The towns of Treviso and Paese are very nice and fun to see. Everyone was helpful when I was confused about where to catch a bus.

In no ways could Marco have been a better host. When I arrived, he went to pick me up at the train station, and many other times, he offered to drive me there to allow me to visit the area. Since I was by myself, he often invited me to join him and his friends for dinner. My stay in Treviso was great, and I owe a lot of it to Marco. As for the appartment, it is extremely clean and has lots of space. The room is quite spacious and I was able to use the kitchen few times to cook the italian way, as Marco taught me!

Marco could not have been a better host. He picked me up from the airport, on my late night arrival, and treated me to a real Italian breakfast. I hope to stay in touch and return the favor back in the states. Thanks again Marco!

I've stayed at Marco's place for 2 nights of May. It was nearly perfect! He is a great host making sure everything in doing great for you and your tour. He picked me up (twice!) at the train station and took me to spend time with his friends as I felt tired of Venice. The conversation was very Italian and it was great! I got to "learn" Italian that well that was able to speak with strangers on a train (with iphone dictionary of course). All in all, I would highly recommend you to stay at Marco's!

The apt is large, clean, and elegant , and fully supplied, and so is the room. You take a 20 minute bus ride 20 metres from the apt, which comes every 10, 15 minutes, and brings you to Treviso station, from where you take the train to Venice, costing 2.40 euro and taking 30 minutes. This train to Venice comes every 30 minutes throughout the whole day. The host Marco is a very rare human being, and just meeting someone like him was worth the stay. Thanks for everything Marco.

Marco is incredibly hospitable and genuinely thoughtful. He is caring and interesting and very easy to talk to. He has pride in Treviso and is well-traveled, but so so humble. Marco is responsible-- and even picked me up from the airport, so not to mention, very generous as well. He just likes meeting people, which is life-affirming indeed! As to the accommodations, his home is quite beautiful, wood-flooring, very well-kept, clean and a great first airbnb experience for me. Marco's response was prompt, and he was responsible and considerate on all levels. He told me how to get to him and he picked me up at the train station. His place is immaculate and comfortable. He has beautiful wood floors. I was there in the winter (Jan) and needed an extra blanket for the bed, and he was able and happy to offer a few. It is a quiet neighborhood with a nice coffeeshop and convenient grocery near by. (a close drive). and not far at all from the Treviso station. You can buy your train ticket at the regular machine for 2.40 Euros (if I remember correctly). It takes about 30-40 minutes by train. It was late and he made me dinner (an Italian pasta dinner) I did not expect this, because I did not ge the email he sent about it. I was already wondering venice. It was great surprise, and nice that he took the time he had to do this and that he wanted to do this. Just a great host and a quality person. .

Marco is wonderful and considerate host offering safe and comfortable stay. We spent so much good time together. Highly recommended !
