The space

This cottage is a perfect example of the historic charm and character of Stonington Borough. Built in the early 1900's, it is one of the older cottages in the Village, peering over accents of the harbor from both floors. A 45 foot dock is available across the street with special arrangements if you have a boat you would like to dock. The cottage has a large backyard with a Weber charcoal grill, and includes three bicycles with quick access to the beach and point (about a 5 min bike ride).

The house is 1500 square feet and has two floors, with a covered, sunlit front porch. On the main floor there is a large living room with a cozy fireplace, a bedroom and bathroom, and a beautiful, sunlit kitchen, well-equipped for cooking delicious food. You can buy fresh fish and seafood just down the street. The second floor has classic hardwood floors, a reading/play room and two bedrooms and another bathroom. The cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep up to 6.

The Borough is a great summer getaway with wonderful amenities - a library, playground, restaurants, marinas and farmer's market every Saturday morning just one block from the house.

I am an artist and a teacher. My husband and I met at RISD and bought this house after we moved to Stonington and designed and built the house we live in. We first found Stonington on sailing expeditions we took where we would anchor in the harbor and we eventually fell in love with the borough and decided to move there.
