This was our second visit to this amazing big house/little castle. It has everything we need; space, a large dining table, chickens, a trampoline, bicyles, lots of toys, a practical kitchen, a fire place amd it is stones throw away from a park and a short cycle into town. Bas is incredibly helpful and welcoming.

With a group of ten we spent a lovely time in the old school in Groningen. A very spacious apartment with a great atmosphere close to the city centre and a nice parc. Very nice, helpful and relaxed hosts. We can certainly recommend this place!

We had a marvelous stay at this school/house. It is a real big house with a lot of space. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. The house has everything you might need like games, books, xbox and even a Sonos sound system (we loved it) The location is good. Within fifteen minutes walking you are in the city center which hosts a myriad of activities like dining, shopping, culture and going out. Communication with the owner (Bas) was good, fast and convenient. We enjoyed staying here for a weekend and recommend it to everyone considering to stay in Groningen.

We found this a very spacious and comfortable family home in quiet location near park and city centre. The house is well appointed for adults as well as children, including bicycles! We received a friendly welcome from the neighbour and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Groningen is a lively town with lots to see and do, as well as providing a good base for trips into the surrounding country side. Corresponding with Bas was easy, responses were always prompt and informative. They even left us fresh apple pie for our arrival. We loved our stay here and have no hesitation in recommending it to others!

The house was perfect. It was clean, big and it was very nice to spend a week in it. Bas and his neighbor Kor, who showed us the house and answered our questions, were very polite and friendly. We had a lot of fun with the X-box and Lets Dance :)

This is a truly amazing house. It's an old school so there is so much room and the building has lots of character, its also very practical and comfortable. Our children played all day with all the toys and loved feeding the chickens. We were able to use their bikes and (re)explore Groningen. It's a 5 minute walk to a park and a 5 minute bike ride to the center of town. We would highly recommend staying here.
