Sunny Parkside Apartment

  MY husband and I rented Sonja Sunny Parkside Apartment in January of 2011 although Apartment is smaller then you see in the pictures it was just right for us it was very clean and well kept.The building it self is a bit old,The people in the building where very friendly,Sonja was very quick to answer any questions we had prior to our trip. When We arrived We where meet by Emily Sonja was out of town.Emily was very sweet and helpful both when we arrived and left. Sonja also left us a list of places to eat in Brooklyn and Manhattan.I would like to Thank Sonja for helping us welcome our 2nd grandson Her Apartment was just a few blocks from my son places. My husband and I would definitely rent from Sonja in the future. A grateful NANA and PAPA Thank you again Sonja

  We stayed a week and were very content. Sonja was out of the county but her friend Jennifer was very friendly and helpful. As other reviews have noted the building is a little tired but the apartment is great; warm- we were staying in November!- comfortable and all had all amenities and 2 very comfy beds! Being so close to subway was brilliant and every day we walked in Prospect Park and on a Saturday the nearby Botanical Gardens are free entry and that is a must visit. I would happliy stay in one of Sonja's apartments again Highly recommended

  This was my first AirBnB experience, and all in all it was great. Sonja confirmed my stay immediately, and kept in good contact ahead of my arrival, and made sure she was around to welcome me. We had a good chat (she's really friendly) and she handed me a few sheets with local places to eat and visit etc. The apartment is exactly as shown, clean, comfy, excellent wifi, lots of TV channels, homely kitchen. The building itself inside is a little tired, but the lift takes you almost all the way up, and the folks are all friendly. Once you get into the apartment, it feels like home. Note that the subway goes by very often, and you hear it rattle by, but I got used to it after half a day, and it never disturbed my sleep. The area isn't the smartest in Brooklyn, but it is friendly, has good shops/supermarket, and the park is so close, as is the subway for B and Q lines. All in all, I recommend it, and would definitely stay at one of Sonja's properties again.

  Stayed at Sonja's Prospect Park pad back in August and had a great time. The place was spacious and clean. Great place for 4 people. The location was also convenient, close to the subway which was minutes to the beach and manhattan. Great food in the area as well. Sonja was also a wonderful host. Our flight came in at 7 am and Sonja offered to let us keep our luggage at her place until our apartment was ready. We would definitely stay with Sonja again the next time we are in NYC!

  Hi We recently spent 5 days at Sonja's apartment in Beekman Place, Brooklyn. As two "seniors" from England we found it very clean and well equipped and very handily located for exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan - 20 mins on the Q line from nearby Prospect Park subway. The block in which the apartment finds itseld is a little tired and in need of renovation but the apartment itself was fine. James, the resident 'manager' was helpful and everything worked smoothly with regard to payment and return of deposit. Sonja gives a lot of time and thought to the comfort and convenience of her guests and provided a steady flow of advice and information both prior to and during our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Local highlights were the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Enduro Mexican restaurant near the subway station - we ate there 3 evenings out of 5!

  Great place to stay. We are a family from Sweden, two adults + two kids seven and three years old. We stayed nine days and loved our vacation. The area is not the nicest in NYC but if you like the real Brooklyn-feeling this is the place. Lots of small stores and restaurants and for the kids the Prospect park just around the corner was fantastic: playgrounds, karusel, zoo and enormous spaces. The apartment is just one room, but it is clean and we mostly just slept and had breakfast and dinner there. It is so close to the subway which take you everywhere very rapidly. We recommend it and Sonja is a great honest host with good advices. We will return! Niklas & Rebecca from Stockholm

  Hi the apartment was great , Sonja was very helpful when we arrived.It was in a really good situation for the local shops and subway, we also ate some good local food in nearby restaurants. We would definately stay again.

  Pretty well just as the photos show - clean and comfortable, plus it's close to the subway, Prospect Park and round the corner from K Dog and Dunebuggy coffee. Sonja was great to deal with - she responded quickly to messages and was very generous sharing her local Brooklyn knowledge.

  I had a great time staying in Sonja's apt. Clean, looked exactly as picture, was well stocked w/ linens, cooking utensils etc. I was unfortunate to not be able to meet Sonja due to her work, but her partner Jennifer greeted us, she was extremely nice, explained where the subways were, how parking was and was helpful with any questions we may have had. I would definitely stay again when I come back to NY.

  Lovely place - huge for NYC standards. Tastefully decorated, high speed internet, well stocked kitchen, close to shops and the subway. Absolutely no complaints. I definitely had everything I needed, and would stay here again.
