One bedroom apartment on the sixth floor (no elevator) under the roof of a building built in 1890. View of Parisian rooftops. Very lively and cosmopolitan neighborhood. Lots of gourmet shops, cool bistros and loads of amazing French restaurants (Bistro Paul Bert, Le Chardenoux, Le Vieux Chêne, L'Ébauchoir) between Bastille and Père Lachaise Cemetary, and a great bakery right across the street (La Patisserie by Cyril Lignac.) If you want the best (award-winning) morning pastries in the neighborhood I have another address for you. There is a great farmers' market—Marché d'Aligre—a few blocks away, the only Parisian farmers' market opened 6 days/week. The Marché d'Aligre is comprised of a mini flee market and a covered market full of food vendors.
For those who like fashion, shopping for clothes and accessories, there is a trendy area a few minutes away by foot.

Nearest metro stations: Faidherbe-Chaligny (line 8) and Charonne (line 9), and a few more blocks away: Reuilly-Diderot (line 1)—this one's direct to the Marais and the Louvre museum.
Line 8 is direct to the Marais and the Opéra, and line 9 to the Grands Magasins (Paris' old department stores.)
Bus 86: a beautiful ride that will take you to Bastille, Nôtre-Dame, the Latin quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
The Marais is also a 20/30min walk away.

Check-in time is flexible unless new guests are arriving the day you are leaving. In this case check in will be from 2pm for the new guests, and check out will be at 11pm for those departing.
