Split Riva Promenade Apartment

  Marin kindly met us early in the morning at the apartment when our boat arrived. The apartment (or "apartman" as they call it) was very clean. The four of us fit in very comfortably and the extra bathroom was really convenient. The bedroom is beautiful, as it is in the picture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but above all, the location was perfect. It really was just down the block from the palace which is the center of town. The view from the roof was spectacular. The central location allowed us to walk to the beach, shop around town, and bike around the peninsula easily.

  Marin met us at the port and walked us to the apartment (about a 10 min walk) and briefly showed us important parts of Split. The apartment was awesome! Very spacious and really nice ammenities! It is in prime location in Split and very close to the old town walls, the Riva, Marjan park, grocery stores etc. Just make sure you figure out ahead of time (and confirm later) where and when to drop of keys when you're done.

  Great apartment in the centre of town! Someone picked us up from the ferry terminal and gave us some tips for exploring Split - would definitely stay again!

  Marin was a great host. He was very responsive to my questions and even gave me turn by turn directions to the apartment from the bus station. I did not stay there myself, but my husband and brother-in-law loved the apartment. I recommend it to anyone!

  We had a great stay at the Split Riva Promenade Apt. the location was really great- right in the middle of all of the action. The apartment was nice and spacious and actually had 2 bathrooms, which was a bonus. The only difficulty was climbing up the 6 flights of stairs with our kid and all of his gear (stroller, etc) each day. Arriving with a bunch of luggage, Marin's brother and his girlfriend were very kind and helpful- they let us in and carried our many pieces of heavy luggage up the stairs for us. They also waited 2 hours for us to let us in- so nice and patient. This is the second time we've stayed at one of Marin's places in Split and they've both been great experiences for us. thanks so much for a great stay!

  We stayed for a week in Marin's apartment. The location was perfect for getting around split. We didnt have to rent a car. We walked to the fish market and the green market each day for our food since the apartment has a full kitchen. Our favorite beach was also within walking distance. There are 2 grocery stores within feet of the apartment for other things. And of course pastry and bakery shops all over. Marin was a kind, considerate and helpful host. He was willing to address anything that came up in the apartment immediately and with a smile. We loved our stay and look forward to staying there again. Thank you Marin.   Nice tidy and well presented apartment in the best location in the heart of Split. We experienced a strange smell in the bedroom area, a bit like the smell of(email hidden)d diesel engine. This kind of ruined an otherwise perfect apartment. Hopefully this has been sorted out by the host as it may have been an old leaking oil heater or something? If you are thinking of staying here I would ask the host if he has resolved this issue.

  We managed to locate Marin & the apartment after a spot of confusion and getting a bit lost (Address is #1 on the street, not #11), but so glad we stuck to the plan and got it sorted out because the apartment (and host) are really lovely. Great location just steps away from the promenade, huge bedroom, lovely little balcony with breakfast table and kudos to Marin for the decent range of DVDs in the apartment :)

  The place was fantastic, fit the 3 of us comfortably and so central, just a very short walk away from the center.

  This is a fantastic place. It's very spacious with a lovely terrace, and having two bathrooms is quite a luxury. Plus, it is in an amazing location, right next to the Palace area. Marin was very helpful, as was his friend Tony who met us when we arrived. If your are visiting Split, this needs to be the place you stay.

  The room was in a perfect location and the double glazing that Marin hs installed has solved any noise problem that might have existed previously. We were there over the festival of St Dominious and once the window was closed there was no noise. We slept like logs! I would recommend Marin and his apartment.

  Marin was a great host! He was really responsive before and throughout our stay, and was nice enough to meet us at the shuttle drop-off point to walk us to the apartment. The apartment was really clean and the location was wonderful.

  It was a very clean place but too noisy, with people staying until late at night under the window . I felt sory for that .

  Marin was a good host . He came to the bus station and walked me to the apartment. The place was very centrally located near the old town, and the bus and ferry are close by. There are restaurants and convinent stores close by too. The place is a little quirky but nice and modern inside. Later I learned that it is a 700 year old house being retro-fitting for modern living. And indeed there is a very nice view of the sea and the park in front. I would definitely stay there again.

  We stayed for one night and it was just what we needed, nice room with view and very convenient for everything in Split, There is even a shop just below which sold chilled white wine which we drank at the table in the room by the window admiring the view. Thanks

  We had a great stay at this apartment. It is a small, compact studio apartment but you don't need much when staying in Split and the view from the pillow was just lovely! Marin was a great host and the apartment is in a great location. Be careful in the shower / bath though as it is easy to flood the bathroom while showering!
