About this listing
Welcome to Aalborg, a Danish city with around 125.000 inhabitants. Aalborg is a port city and is known for the infamous Jomfru Ane Gade (Virgin Ane Street) a street filled with bars and discos.
I will do everything I can to make your stay as comfortably as possibly, and will happy answer any questions you might have before and during your stay. I will also be happy to guide you to the sights in and around Aalborg, based on your sightseeing wishes.
**ABOUT THE APARTMENT**
The apartment is a close to downtown, child friendly apartment with everything you will need to enjoy your stay in Aalborg. The kitchen and bathroom are very big, giving the feeling that the apartment is bigger than a 3-roomed apartment.
The apartment is very child friendly with toys, puzzle facilities and a toddler chair – but all of this is located so as you can easily stay in the apartment without kids.
The permanent beds are a double bed in the master bedroom and a single/double bed in the child room (it can be made into both). Beside these there are two mattresses, a travel-toddler-bed (please inform me if you need this), a double air mattress and a sofa big enough to let a person sleep on it. I have pillows and dunes/blankets for six persons.
During your stay, you will be able to enjoy:
Television with a variety of movies for adults and kids
A PlayStation 3 with access to games
More than thirty English books
Eco/allergy-friendly soap by every sink and for shower
Eco washing soap for clothes and free use of cleaner/dryer
Free use of basic food (flour, spaghetti, rice, ingredients and so on)
Clean sheets and towels
Washing machine with eco/allergy-friendly soap.
An enclosed outdoor area with all-day sun and barbequing opportunities.
Folders describing some of the opportunities in and around Aalborg (including maps)
In the area closest to the apartment (within five minutes of walking), you will be able to find two super-markets, cafes and fast-food eating-places (E.G. pizzarias, sushi bars and sandwich places) and a 7-11. You will also be able to find two fitness centers.
Within ten minutes of walking, you will be able to fins 'Limfjorden', the fjord going through Aalborg. Along the fjord you will be able to find parks and playgrounds. Other noteworthy attractions in Aalborg include Aalborg zoo, the Aalborg tower (with an amazing view of Aalborg and the surrounding areas), and 'Lindholm Høje' - a viking graveyard with a museum and a cafe serving viking food.
If you are staying in Aalborg longer, I will suggest that you spend some time enjoying the attractions outside of Aalborg. The North Sea is allways worth a visit, and in Skagen (the most northern point of Denmark) you will be able to experience the unique view of to oceans meeting.
The amusement park 'Fårup Sommerland' is definetely worth a visit - especially with children. It's won a prize for being the best amusement park in Northern Europe, and have further won a prize for being the worlds most family friendly amusement park.
If you wish to experience the danish nature, Rold Skov (The forest of Rold) - located twenty minutes from Aalborg - is the biggest forest in Denmark.
Further there is plenty of opportunities to experience danish country idyl in the small cities outside of Aalborg.
I look forward to hearing from you, and most importantly, I wish that you will enjoy your stay in Aalborg!
Other things to note
Please note that there's a cat living in the apartment. The cat will not be present during your stay, but I cannot guarantee that the apartment is 100% allergy-free.
Generally, you will have a lot of freedom while staying in the apartment. Actually, there's only three areas I wish that you have focus on:
1. Please keep smoking to the outdoor areas. And please clean up after your cigarettes.
2. In regard to partying. please respect the neighbors. You are welcome to start the party in the apartment, but I ask you to keep music and voice level at a respectable level, and to relocate the party to the city after 22.
3. Please respect that you are renting a private home. Leave the apartment as you got it. Respect that I have to live in the apartment when you leave. Respect the neighbors.
I'm an 24 year old university student.
I hope, when I'm finished with my studies, that I'll be able to work with voluntary work and to help find ways to globalize the world.
I live together with my son, Adrian who are 4 year old and very talkative - he loves to have guests. (And he will try very much to make you understand danish when he meets you!)
I like culture, and I have a lot of books and movies in my apartment (witch you'll be able to borrow if you're renting my place - most of them are English.)
I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask!
