live in the real portland

Great place to stay! Very close to Alberta St and all the restaurants and shops there. Xiaofeng and Fon were very accommodating and helpful.

Beautiful home in cool section of NE Portland. House looks and feels brand new. Great value!!!

Xiaofeng and Fon were awesome hosts! They were very helpful in providing tips for getting around the city, taking day trips, and the best places to eat. The house, which was very clean, is located on Alberta street with tons of shops to visit. Cab ride from the airport was about $20. There are buses nearby and also Zipcar pods if you're a member. Overall easy access to everything and great experience.

I had a very nice stay at Xiaofeng and Fon's. They have a very nice house and provided a nice room and private bathroom. And they have great recommendations for what to do around town. I highly recommend them for a stay in Portland.

Xiaofeng & Fon Z are friendly, gracious, welcoming hosts; fun insightful conversationalists and give great foodie recs. Pleasant & easygoing: they're available for interaction if you want it but never intrude on your privacy. They've created a quiet clean space with a comfy bed and your own full bath with shower & tub. They're in a great location -- vibrant, arty-quirky Alberta neighborhood with lovely gardens, easy walking to yummy, diverse, not-too-spendy restaurants & interesting shops. Easy access to public transport. Highly recommend.

The pictures posted were a good representation of the house. The hosts were extremely respectful of my space and were always available for helpful suggestions on where to eat and what to do. The location was perfect. There was easy access to public transport and the many restaurants on Alberta Street. It was a great bare-bones place to stay.

Xiaofeng and Fon were great hosts who provided us with very good recommendations. Where they live is a very nice neighborhood close to lots of interesting places that defined the character of Portland that we were interested in. I am so glad we stayed here instead of somewhere downtown. Portland is small enough that it was an easy ride on the bus to where we wanted to go.

Xiaofeng and Fon have a clean and lovely home that is warm and welcoming. The room I stayed in was very comfortable. The desk area provides a perfect little nook to rest your laptop or make some notes on your trip; it's also stocked with maps, guides, bus schedules, and other useful info for your stay in Portland! However, as others have noted, your hosts may ultimately be your best resource for things to do and check out. I really enjoyed the neighborhood as well; lots of great shops, local culture, and eateries just a short walk away!

This was our first Airbnb experience & it was a very favorable one. The accommodation was just as presented. Everything was clean & comfortable. The private bathroom was spotless. Fon was helpful & friendly. Certainly recommended.
