Description

The space

Business or touristic trip, the 39 Lesdiguieres in Grenoble town center welcomes you in the spirit of conviviality of his neighborhood : music, books and computer connected to the web are free. A phone is available so you can be called at local fee. In this apartment of 600 sq ft designed as a loft, the space is open and simply structured by two volumes nicely drawn : the bathroom block with a sink and a shower and the mezzanine covering the bookshelf on lounge side and desk on bedroom side. Bedding : 1 double bed in the bedroom.

Guest access

No restriction. Everything you can find in the loft is for your confort and pleasure !

Interaction with guests

I never come in the flat when guests are using it, unless I'm called for a drink !

The neighborhood

The "Village" is the other name of the Championnet square where the flat is located, from walking distance of historical town center. And it is actually the "Greenwich village" of Grenoble : all around you will find small shops with quality food, nice pubs and restaurants, craftshops and art galleries. Don't forget to look at the good places guide on the map tab. You may even be granted by the "creators fair" or a funny carboot sale.

Just around the corner, the Caserne de Bonne will offer you a brand new commercial center and some quiet places for a walk or a drink in the sun.

Getting around

You'll be able to access all public transports by bus and tramway with a few minutes walk, and you can rent a "metrovelo" bike from the city (20€ per month) or a Cité Lib car from 15 € per month + 0,35 € per km. The main train and coach station is a 15-minute walk away from the flat.

The house was great for two of us, both students at Grenoble Ecole de Management, for 4 months. It was in the perfect location, very near train station and town centre. The apartment was well equipped with many clean sheets and Jacques also kindly came down several times to fix the problems that arose during our stay. He was a wonderful host who even helped us to bring our heavy luggage from the train station when we arrived and sent us to the train station when we left.

Jacques was a fantastic host and the "39" apartment was the perfect base camp for my experience at Grenoble Ecole de Management. I would be happy to return any day if the chance came up again. I am sad to leave!

Jacques kindly met us at the station and helped with our luggage. He also had chilled wine and nibbles waiting at the apartment so we couldn't have asked for a better start. The apartment is exactly as listed and we loved the open plan design, windows at both sides meant a nice breeze kept the apartment cool. As we stayed for five weeks we had quite a few meals at the apartment and the kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment was quiet at night and combined with the very comfortable bed we slept well. We would highly recommend Jacques apartment, which is within easy walking distance of the city centre and Jacques is a perfect host, leaving us to enjoy our stay but always available by email or phone. If we ever return to Grenoble we would certainly stay again, Thank you Jacques.

Jacques' apartment is great find in Grenoble. It is well-designed, spacious and very accommodating to guests - lots of space for clothes, bright, comfortable and very well located in the city. We were happy with the open concept of the space - perfect for a couple. Jacques was a great host - meeting us at the train station, orienting us to the neighbourhood and available online during our stay. We certainly would stay there again and recommend it without hesitation.

The loft was exactly as pictured, clean and in excellent shape. It had everything we needed and we immediately felt at home. It's very spacious Jacques was easy to deal with, great communication, everything was very smooth. He even picked us up at the train station, helped us with our luggage and recommended places to eat and shop. The location is perfect, close to the train station, shopping district and the river. There are lots of coffee shops, boulangeries, grocery stores and restaurants within a block or 2. Easily the best place place to stay in Grenoble.

The 39 is a wonderful apartment in a great location. It's light, clean, and modern, and designed with Jacques' wonderful sense of style. The bed is very comfortable, the internet is fast and stable. It's a five minute walk to Place Victor Hugo, a 15 minute bike ride to the University, or stay locally for plenty of bars, restos and boulangeries. Grenoble is a great place to bike around so I advise renting a Métrovélo for your stay. Jacques is very kind, and very helpful, and it was great to be able to spend some time with him also. The 39 is so nice, you may never want to leave.

Jacques loft is one of the nicest Airbnb apts I have stayed in anywhere. My stay was a full week in July during the Tour de France. The loft is beautifully furnished in a modern classic minimalistic style. It was absolutely spotless and easy to keep clean. The kitchen would be a pleasure for anyone inclined to cook, with all the necessary cookware. Included were pantry staples, cereal, coffee, a nice French press coffee maker etc. Jacques met me near the loft where I had parked and helped me with my bags. He could not of been more helpful, welcoming and easy to make arrangements with. The loft is located a very short walk to the center of town, but just far enough to have a feel of the local non--tourist life in Grenoble, which is always my preference. There are also a number of fantastic restaurants just around the corner of his place. I would love to return to Grenoble and would definitely return to Jacques place. I can not recommend it highly enough.

I"m now sharing time between my workshop in Chartreuse, the "Atelier des Cloitres", and "le 39" in Grenoble where I've been living more than ten years. I enjoy the quiet animation of the Championnet quarter after the silence of the mountain. Cabinet maker one day, web designer the other, I like to come back to my flat for a meeting in town. I don't think dishwasher and television are necessary but I consider a glass of good wine and a good hi-fi system as ordinary pleasures. I wish to welcome foreign visitors who will like "le 39".
