About this listing

A century home this two family house is located in the heart of Ohio City. The upstairs is simply furnished for your comfort and becomes yours the moment you arrive. The park across the street is a welcomed view.

The space

This quaint Victorian Home has a clean, fully furnished, non-smoking upstairs apartment unit available. There are 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and front sitting area overlooking the park. In the back of the apartment is the bathroom with a large claw foot tub, with hand held spray for use in the tub in place of a shower.

One bedroom is furnished with a single bed, dresser, bedtable, and lamp. The other is larger with a dresser, bed, and lamp, clock, and a double bed. The living room has a sofa, coffee table, card table and chairs. It is simply furnished for your needs with internet, TV, and DVD player. Books, games, and DVD's are in the bookcase for your use. Clean towels and bedding are provided as well as breakfast foods and other snacks.
The house is located just 2 blocks from public transportation, 20 min. from the Cleveland International Airport, walking distance to several restaurants, pubs, shops, and the West Side Market. It is just 1.8 miles to downtown Cleveland, the home of The Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians, as well as Playhouse Square, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Science Museum, Tower City Shopping and Cinemas, and a multitude of pubs and restaurants. Just 5 min. away, in the Detroit/Shoreway neighborhood (W. 65 St.) you will find more restaurants, coffee and old fashioned ice cream shops, and the newly renovated Capitol Theater.
This city neighborhood is eclectic, with a great diversity of people. A city park is across the street, as well as the community gardens. Towering over the neighborhood is old St. Patrick's Catholic Church at one corner, across from the Public Library, and beautiful sunsets can be seen just 3 blocks north over Lake Erie.
I would be happy to host you for two nights or I can offer a special rate for stays longer than 5 nights. ($10 a night extra for more than 2 guests). Maximum 3 guests. Denise is an amazing host. She helps with any questions you may have. She gave us directions to where we needed to go and when we at the last minute needed things if she had them she supplied us with what she had to make our experience enjoyable. Very nice and kind and willing to answer any questions you may have. The house is just how it is advertised! Better than any hotel you could ever stay in!!

Denise was a great host. She was tentative and let us do our own thing. The listing was accurate and beautifully located at the foot on a lovely park and a short walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay with Denise. She was very helpful and friendly. There was enough information in the house about the city and other things you could do. The house is old but has lots of character. There food for breakfast and chocolates for the extra touch. We would definitely stay here again

I have been teaching 6th grade reading at Metro Catholic School for many years. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, movies, reading, swimming, porch sitting, my flower and vegetable gardens, and meeting new people. Since I recently retired, I look forward to doing more of the above!
Since I enjoy dining out I can offer you several great restaurants, pubs, and ice cream shops in the neighborhood.
I am quiet, easy going, friendly, and try to be aware of the amount of my presence guests want!
