Lovely five-room floor-through in Park Slope, Brooklyn is available for the week beginning Saturday, February 18th through Sunday, February 26th. The dates are somewhat flexible and other dates are possible. Please contact me with your specific needs.
My home is a half a block from Prospect Park, three short blocks to the subway and mere minutes away from lots of lovely neighborhood amenities and attractions.
Its comforts and amenities include:
* Sleeping accommodations for four to five people (one full-sized bed, two single-sized fold-out couches, one sofa). Great for a family visit.
* Easy first-floor access (no stairs except front stoop)
* Eclectic decor!
* Great kitchen with lots of culinary accessories, appliances, and five feet of counter space. Big window (north light) overlooking neighbors' gardens
* Separate dining area off kitchen (with expandable table)
* Many original details (moldings, big claw-foot tub in bathroom)
* Sunny front room/living room with original fireplace mantle and hearth
* Great office space with desk, file cabinets, printer hookup for your computer and wireless internet
* Small (8-family) building with nice neighbors
* TV with DVD player and VCR
About the neighborhood:
* Park Slope was voted Best Place to Live in New York City by New York magazine a year or so ago.
* All 800 acres of Prospect Park are just up the block.
* In the immediate (3-4 block) vicinity are several good restaurants, two laundromats, various grocery options, a great bakery, nail salon, video/DVD rental place (for Luddites like myself), bike store, cafes, movie theater, the best bagels, wine stores, pizza, sushi, Vietnamese sandwiches, dry cleaners, bars, drug store, check cashing place, bank and ice cream.
* The closest train is the F, which runs into Manhattan and also has an easy transfer to the R, A & C. There is also the G, which just gets better & better every day! Other train lines are a little further away and there are several bus lines that can take you there and/or into downtown Brooklyn. It takes 15-40 minutes to get into Manhattan, depending on where you're going and at what time.
