The space

My loft is located on the 4th floor (with elevator) of a building from the 700's in the historical center of Modena.
It is nicely and modernly decorated and colorful.
With a 2-minute walk you can reach the famous Torre Civica (Ghirlandina), the Piazza Grande and the Cathedral Duomo which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Next to the house you will find many taverns and restaurants where you can enjoy the fine cuisine of Emilia, including The Franciscan M. Bottura!
The train station and the central bus station are within walking distance (there is also a bus stop on the street right outside the apartment). On-site amenities you'll find at home are: TV, WI- FI, air conditioning / heating etc. (see list under the "amenities" tab)...
The public car park ' Novi Sad Park ' is not far, but you get to walk about three minutes into the center (because it is a limited traffic zone).
Oh, I forgot, I have a beautiful cat; Pietro! He is the King of the house....

The main museums of the city are located around the Palace Museum in Piazza St. Augustine (1 minute walk from the apartment). Also visit the beautiful Military Academy or the Doge's Palace! Modena is at the center of a highly successful part of Pianura Padana (the Po Valley) which is the typical production area of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Modena, Balsamic Vinegar and good Lambrusco! These glories of the national cuisine perfectly illustrate the characters from the Modenese cuisine that you can enjoy during your holiday!
The Ferrari Museum in Maranello and the MEF Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena are also just a must to visit!

The kitchen and the bathroom are there for you to use but it should always be done with the outmost respect for each other as the kitchen, bathroom and living room areas will be shared...

I will be present during the stay of my guests, to help you if you need advice and share your experience here in Modena! (I have an official license to accompany tourists in the province of Modena which I obtained in 2013 from the Manager of Tourism in our province).

The area of Modena which I live in is called ' The Pomposa ' and it's full of local bars (coffe and regular ones) and restaurants - it is really bubbly with a great atmophere...

Monica is very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night but I would have loved to stay longer and chat with her! Very colorful and clean place, located very close to the center of town. Monica provides all amenities, which is very nice. Showering was a little tricky because it is a bathtub with no shower curtain. Pietro, the cute and fuzzy cat, is quite curious but mostly keeps to himself. We found Modena to be a quieter town with very good food -- we found the best coffee and gelato here, and we also had a very memorable dinner of local specialties like bollito misto. The lambrusco here is also very good!

A perfect spot to stay in Modena. A short walk (7 min) from the train station. Centrally located to everything in the old part of Modena. The best cappuccino I've had so far during my trip to Europe. Via Taglio 12 Eat & Drink was a perfect start to our day of adventure. Monica is the perfect host. Her apartment is eclectic, and speaks to her high energy personality. We loved Pietro the cat! The air conditioning was perfect for making sleeping in the hot Italian summer easy. Everything was a promised. It's a clean and fun place to stay. Thank you Monica for providing suggestions to local sites, places to eat, and things to do.

Monica's place is a little hidden jewel, perfectly located in the centre part of old Modena. We walked everywhere. The train station is a 7 minute walk from the flat. You could not ask for a more perfect, friendly, informative host. This flat is tiny, the bedroom has a large comfortable bed. At the end of your day exploring Modena, there's air conditioning to ensure a comfortable nights sleep. A stay at Monica's will immerse you in space that is eclectic, overflowing with collectables that speak to Monica's artistic personality. The flat was clean, towels were provided, and Pietro the cat is wonderful. There's an elevator, this space is located in a loft, in an ancient building. Thank you Monica for a memorable stay in Modena.

Monica is very nice and was very quick to respond. The loft is very cozy, is quite big, and had a fantastic climatora because it was soooo hot when I arrived!!! Also, there is a very friendly cat by the name of Pietro to keep you company. Place is perfectly located in Modena centro and the decor is quite lovely! Will definitely be back.

The neighborhood is very nice and right in the center of the city. All the houses lining the street are very charming. This is a spacious apartment in the middle of the city that is fantastically decorated. There are a ton of good restaurants nearby and at the one Monica recommended (Taverna dei Servi) I had the greatest meal of my life (besides my mother's cooking) for 30 euros. Pietro is as friendly as cats come and I thought it was very nice that he was there. Monica is very nice and has a passion about her city that is obvious to see. She is a licensed guide as well so she is able to tell you all the good places to go and see in the city. I would highly recommend that anyone staying in Modena should stay here.
