Historic townhouse in downtown Htfd

Jane and Earl surpassed all my expectations! They are seriously awesome down to earth people. I was offered great hospitality with free range of the kitchen to cook and store food and a half bath all to myself! Mille and Sally, their dog and cat, are absolutely adorable and friendly. I cuddled with Sally on the very first night! They were even completely okay when I accidentally took the keys home to LA in my rush to the airport! GREAT STAY! I can't recommend them more, seriously. =)

Very nice place and they were gracious enough to house my boyfriend and I in the wee hours of the morning for only a few hours on their futon. I only met Jane, but she was very nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend staying with them! :)

Jane and Earl were great hosts. They were flexible about our arrival time and very communicative. Their apartment is beautiful and they have a friendly, quiet dog and cat. We stayed in the bedroom and were very comfortable. The location was great - walking distance to everything downtown. Parking on the street was easy. We would certainly stay again.

Overall, I had a great experience. Jane and Earl are very friendly, and their dog and cat are also very sweet. Jane sent me instructions how to use the local bus system to get from the airport to their apartment downtown, which saved me a lot of money. Their apartment is right downtown about a ten minute walk from Hartford Hospital and easily accessible to public transportation. Earl gave me restaurant recommendations in the area and made sure I had his phone number in case I got lost. I would stay with them again and would recommend them to anyone staying in Hartford for a few days!

Wonderful apartment, wonderful people and a wonderful stay! Jane and Earl are great hosts and they made my month long stay like a home away from home. The apartment is beautiful-immaculately clean and warm and welcoming. Both Jane and Earl could not have done more to look after me. If you go ahead and book you will love staying here. I'm glad I booked because I now know Hartford a little better and also have two new people to call my friends!

Jane and Earl were such great hosts. I was very comfortable in the back bedroom with my own clean private bath. I did not spend much time at their place as I was working at the convention center that is a 5 minute walk away but I was very comfortable and would stay again.

A wonderfully charming place to stay that is close to almost everything in Hartford. Logistically parking in the area is easy and you can walk to most everything in Hartford. It provides a great feel for the city that you just wouldn't get if you stayed 1/2 mile away in a big chain hotel. Jane and Earl keep a wonderfully decorated townhouse. Amazing sense of style that, in conjunction with their personalities, makes you feel right at home. Jane went out of her way to accommodate me beyond what I would have ever expected. Plus, like many other people have also said, they've got one of those most awesome dogs I've ever met.

Jane and Earl are two of the greatest people I know! They are a wonderful couple, so genuine, kind, and super funny! Their apartment is wonderful, and in the perfect location for walking downtown. They're also very knowledgeable about the downtown Hartford area, its attractions and are more than willing to help out.
